My issue with Guiney Delivery started at 10:07 a.m. on 12/2/14 when they were late on delivering my refrigerator, which they said they would deliver between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. I started contacting the seller ([redacted]) and they contacted Guiney and told me that they would be calling me with an exact time. Remember that a refrigerator delivery requires moving food out of your old one to accommodate the new one. So my food has been out since 7:30 am. The truck guys never called and by now it is 10:45 am when I called [redacted] again. I requested they would call me to confirm whether they would deliver that day - since I had cancel everything to wait for them. I did not receive a call until finally at 11:09 and the conversation went like this: Truck driver: "Are you Ana?" (not Mrs. Ana, or Mrs. [redacted], nothing). "Yes" I replied. "I will be there in 20 minutes with your refrigerator". (NO apologies, NO explanation for his unexcused delay). I got very mad and asked him if he knew what time it was , allowing him a chance to apologize himself for the delay. His reply was this "DO YOU STILL WANT YOUR REFRIGERATOR?". I repeated the question with the same expectation, "do you know what time it is?" He replied: "Seems like you are having a problem so I am going to have to re-schedule you for another day - please contact the company to have your refrigerator delivered on another date".
Astonished, I called [redacted] and after several calls (one hour on hold by) to several people the local distributor Guiney called me, again, no apology, just said "Mrs. [redacted], the truck is on its - it way will be there in 20 minutes". I asked him if he knew what was the problem with his delivery guy, to which he alleged he knew nothing. Then I proceeded to explain the scenario to him. Again, no apologies from them. I explained to him that if there would have been a delay I would have understood it - happens all the time; but I should have been notified BEFORE 10 A.M. about it. I told him that is was not my responsibility to try to track their truck over an hour's time - no one has time do to this, after all. Meantime, I have already put ALL the food back on the refrigerator.
The truck drivers arrived sometime after 1 p.m., not a hello, not an apology, and I had already put back my food in the fridge, so I proceeded to take the food out, and when I told him why I had put the food back he just yelled at me "LISTED LADY YOU DID NOT TALK TO ME ABOUT ANYTHING, I KNOW NOTHING -YOU SPOKE WITH SOMEONE ELSE". I did not answer, I did not want to go down to his level, but it bothered me that he thought I was stupid. So now my refrigerator magically appeared in their truck, right? I felt not only mad about the entire situation, but also feared retaliation from the delivery guys (who looked a little sketchy). All in all they made me waste 5 hours of my day - most of which I spent on the phone waiting on long queues with [redacted] [redacted] and repeating my story with several people.
When I notified [redacted], first thing they said was that, they mentioned they have had the same experience with this company before (delays and no calling). They apologized in many ways but the experience with the delivery guys really made me fear this company and question their professionalism, from those who schedule, originate and follow up the delivery, to especially the delivery guys. I want to place this claim so this company can be watched.
