Thank you Chad W***, EsqGUINN SEN & WALTON, PLLC
It was my understanding that no work would be done until the office was paid in full. No documents were submitted and I was informed that I would receive my money back if I decided not to proceed before that time. No credit check was ever done by this firm as I recently performed my own which shows who has run credit checks. I have not signed any contract which is why the office has not been able to provide one

Guinn Law Group, PLC stopped doing business in 2013 when I joined a new firm.  I have no record of Ms. [redacted] as a client.  The first step as a client is to sign a contact with me to outline the terms of our agreement.  Please ask Ms. [redacted] to send me a copy of her contact or...

to detail her communication with me or my office.  It sounds like she is complaining about the activity of a third party lead generating group and not my law office.

Review: I did a free consultation with [redacted] for a bankruptcy case. I decided at the time it was a good idea to file for bankruptcy so I made to down-payments for the case. One payment was $500.00 and the second payment was $495.00. This was in February 2015. I have not done anything further with the bankruptcy case, he has not filed anything for me, he has not done anything for me except for the consultation and taking my money. I asked to be refunded because I changed my mind and decided I do not want to do a bankruptcy. [redacted] refuses to refund me any money.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund for any monies paid to him since nothing was done on his side and papers were not drawn nor filed. I feel that the firm is ripping me off for my money in the value of $995.00 by refusing to refund my money back to me.

Response:

This client hired my firm on February 11, 2015. She partially paid for our services. My firm provided services in excess of what the client paid. The client stopped cooperating and asked for a refund. She was informed that work had been performed pursuant to our agreement and that she was not entitled to a refund. As an accommodation, if this client wants to complete her bankruptcy, she can pay the balance owed pursuant to our agreement. The balance owed is $540.00 and we will complete her case.

Review: Guinn Law collected money based on a service they were to provide. Due to my issue they disclosed in writing I would be refunded my money if there firm could not provide the services. Now they are emailing false letters with inaccurate information. I would like to be refunded 1,400.00 dollars for money they should not of received.Desired Settlement: 1,400 dollars

Response:

According to our records, you retained this firm on a flat fee basis to represent you in obtaining protection from your creditors under the United States Bankruptcy Code on or around September 28, 2011. That was almost 2 years ago. The total flat fee was $2100.00 and then reduced to $1900.00, on or around February 2, 2012. You have paid

$1400.00 of that total amount.

Since you retained this firm, we have verified your eligibility to file bankruptcy by checking court records, property values and applicable exemption amounts, paid for your

credit counseling class, pull your credit report and prepared a draft of your bankruptcy petition, schedules and statements. Additionally, you were enrolled in our creditor

program, where we responded to creditor inquiries to verify this firms representation of you in this matter. Pursuant to our agreement, the cost of said enrollment is $100.00

per month, all of which is applied to the total flat fee owed; but not refundable, if you do not file your bankruptcy.

Accordingly, we have earned the $1400.00 you have paid and more. However, we will not demand the balance owed pursuant to our agreement. If you wish to complete your bankruptcy filing, we will complete the process if you pay the remaining filing fee of $306, directly to the bankruptcy court.

I retained this law group to file a chapter 13 for me in 2008. $1500.00 later turned into $2500.00. Bankruptcy was discharged in 2013. I was then contacted by a creditor that was not listed on the BK by Guinn group and they demand app $7000.00. Guinn contacted about this oversight on his part. He wants $500.00 to contact the creditor or I am on my own. I believe they are responsible for this blunder in filing my case and need to resolve it, but they won't.
