The simple response is that the customer sent us a guitar that had issues and we could not accept is as tradeCustomer also told us guitar had new Elixir strings and the strings were clearly very old and tarnishedHe had said the guitar had fresh stringsIt didn'tHe said the guitar was perfect It wasn't even playableHe had completely misrepresented the guitarAs a businessman we can't accept in trade guitars that have issuesWe've been in business years with no complaintsThis was evidently a scamNow he wants more money from us when it was he who misrepresented his guitarI will happily share all of our emails

We have worked hard for years to maintain a good reputation. We felt as if we had been seriously deceived and scammed and as such not deserving a refund for shippingThis is an attempt to destroy our reputation from a person who tried to trade a guitar that had issuesThe customer said that he already had changed strings and they were very oldThe guitar couldn't be played without buzzing.You may read all of our email messages

I am rejecting this response because:I stated I would change the strings, that is true, however, I followed that message with a request if they business would do the sameThey never responded to that email nor the email about me asking for pictures of the guitar for saleThey were very unresponsive, rude, and continue to practice bad business ethics, just the way the reviews on yelp and google sayI am not the first to complain about this business and I guarantee I will not be the lastUnder Guitar Tex, *** ***s care, my guitar was ruinedThey are responsible for the damage present on my guitar and refuse to refund me the cost of shipping I had to pay to get them the guitar.

I am rejecting this response because:It is simply not trueThe guitar I sent out to be traded in played perfectlyI did not misrepresent the guitarI said I was going to put on new strings, however, I asked if the company would do the sameThe salesman simply neglected my requestI also asked for pictures of the guitar and the case, that request was also ignoredIf there is any scam here, it is by the businessThey have several reviews online through both yelp and google reviews from the past which show incidents where customers brought in instruments for simply repairs or sales and the "sales team" further damaged the instruments through bad handling and try to cover the damages upI am very disappointed with both the customer service of this business as well as how they destroyed my guitar and deny itFurthermore, I am a college student and took time and $to ship the guitar to themWhen asking for a simply refund from a "prestigious business that has been working for years", they denied my request for a refund and proceeded to mock me via messages.

Customer also told us guitar had new Elixir strings and the strings were clearly very old and tarnished. He had said the guitar had fresh strings. It didn't. He said the guitar was perfect....

It wasn't even playable. He had completely misrepresented the guitar. As a businessman we can't accept in trade guitars that have issues. We've been in business 16 years with no complaints. This was evidently a scam. Now he wants more money from us when it was he who misrepresented his guitar. I will happily share all of our emails.
