Gulf Coast Building Components, Inc. Reviews (7)

Similar to most HOAs, Ghertner requires a formal request for any structural or major home improvements for the subdivision that I live in The information must be reviewed and approved by the board before any projects can start This is nothing new to us, as we're familiar with similar process from our previous HOA Well, we recently submitted our ARC Request to Ghertner; however, was notified by the Community Association Manager that we didn't include a Site Plot Plan within our request No biggie - we had the document in our files at home and simply forgot to include it So, the next day, our Site Plot Plan was completed as instructed and emailed to the Association Manager in hopes of getting it to the board for review Well, low and behold, we now needed to submit another ARC Request Form in addition to the Site Plot Plan?!?! So, I asked the Association Manager why did we need to submit another ARC form, when that document was included within our original submission, and the only additional document requested was the Site Plot Plan The Association Manager responded that "I did not keep the one you sent in because it was not a complete ARC request." Ok, I get that the request was not complete and that Ghertner needed to "develop" the file in order to get the Site Plot Plan, but why are you going to request that I send additional documentation if you're just going to trash all of the original documentation that was submitted? So, instead of submitting the Site Plot Plan (remember this was the only document missing), now I have to complete and submit another ARC Request and all the additional documentation that was submitted within the original request Why the run-around Ghertner - if you need additional documents to complete the ARC requests, and that's what is requested, why trash the originals - makes no sense to me It's a waste of time to the Homeowners who pay association and processing fees to waste valuable time resending the same documents over and over again! Not to mention that my projects have now been delayed over a month because one missing document, turned into several missing document! Oh, but they didn't trash the processing fee checks that were included - those were still safe and sound in Ghertner's possession

This company fails to agree to or advise Board on an inexpensive, simple accommodation to a disability
They refuse to answer phone or email questions
The property manager will sit outside your home, even with no violation at your home or the neighbors, parking, backing up to make sure you notice he is there, intimidation, etc They will give you verbal permission to ignore a rule In my neighbor's case, recant that they gave permission
They send letters dating a violation on one day, including "evidence"/photographs from previous dates, meaning the date of the violation and photo don't match - photo is old! In one instance, the photograph was nearly months old to note a violation If there was an issue with it months ago, a letter should have been sent then
The property manager secretly/somehow "reviews" comments made on our neighborhood *** site, but Ghertner will not answer how she was online and posting private infraction information of homeowner

I want to thank Cynthia W[redacted] with Ghertner for her exceptional service. She is the property manager for the [redacted] Townhomes HOA. Cynthia is professional, courteous and quick to respond to issues.

My dealing with this company has been a nightmare, not only that they associate themselves with one of most ungodly attorney I hope I never need to use in my life ever [redacted] of [redacted] is so thirsty to take money from people any way possible, and that's the God Heaven truth!

We are new to Nashville (moved from New York) and were pleased to find a lovely home in the Riverwalk Community. As we started to make improvements i.e.) replacing a deck, we were very much aware of
Visible equipment that we thought should be hidden by landscaping as it detracted from an amazing view.

Todd F[redacted] , Our Community Association Manager , was very responsive from our first communication until the resolution of the problem. Next week 5 - 6 fast growing trees will be planted - just as the work on our deck commences. We are fortunate to have Todd as our go-to person. He follows through from beginning to end. And, it is heartening to know that management is not only concerned with beautifying what can be seen upon entering Riverwalk , but also concerned upon what impacts on individual homeowners and their guests.

Property manager is incompetent. Does not enforce community standards, is condescending and rude when challenged. Owner does not return calls or emails. Last election at annual meeting was illegal and no one wants to discuss it. Very disappointed and unhappy with Ghertner & Co, I have lived here for 30 years and was board president for 10 years. I simply want to protect my interest

We have a great property manager, Cynthia W[redacted]. She is very pro-active and wants our community to excel in our appearance and growth. Great communicator!
