Please accept this letter as response to a complaint made by [redacted] in reference to the services rendered to him by our company Davis Towing, LLC. [redacted] car was ordered by the SC Highway Patrol to be towed to our facility following a traffic accident [redacted]...
was involved in. Per South Carolina Highway Patrol for an ordered tow from SCHP the tow rate is $230.00. After 12 hours of storage we are allowed to charge $28.00 per day for a vehicle being on our yard. [redacted] is correct that our release hours are as follows: M-F 8a.m. to 5p.m. So [redacted] should have been charged 230.00 towing and for 2 days of storage. When [redacted] came to our yard to pay and have his vehicle released to him he had his family with him. [redacted] was very argumentative and loud with our driver that was on our yard. [redacted] was actually only charged for the towing 230.00 and one day of storage. [redacted] the owner of Davis towing felt so bad for the situation that [redacted] grandmother was in having to pay for his tow that he gave the grandmother 28.00 back. [redacted] did not see this because he took of in his car when it was released and left his grandparents on our yard. So the only monies Davis Towing, LLC received for this tow was 258.00 I hope that this response is helpful in resolving this complaint. We followed the rules set forth to our company by SCHP.
