I accept this resolution.This billing error has been resolved only after numerous calls to my insurance company to confirm that a billing correction was FINALLY sent According to the billing person, it would only take to weeks to resolve; however, it has taken weeks to receive confirmation of the correction from my insurance company This was only rectified due to my persistence, and with little to no assistance from the doctor’s billing department The doctor was excellent; however, the billing department was less than adequate[redacted]

I reviewed patients chart this morning and correct billing for date of service had been resubmitted and processed. Insurance was billing office visit only, I left a message for Kelly, the BCBS rep I have been speaking with to ensure the refunded amount was credited to patients account with them. Awaiting her call back to confirm this.

The patient did in fact call and inform us of this billing error. I also validated it with her insurance company. The issue is the patient is confused on how the refund process works and how long it takes to process. I have tried explaining this several times. Either way, the billing error was...

corrected after her first call into the office, a corrected claim was submitted to her insurance company, and a refund began processing. There is nothing else to do on this situation as all steps have been taken. Again, the patient expected this to take only a few days but the process takes much longer. As of today her account with us reflects the changes and corrections to the billing and shows the refund logged.

I accept this resolution.This billing error has been resolved only after numerous calls to my insurance company to confirm that a billing correction was FINALLY sent.  According to the billing person, it would only take 2 to 3 weeks to resolve; however, it has taken 7 weeks to receive confirmation of the correction from my insurance company.  This was only rectified due to my persistence, and with little to no assistance from the doctor’s billing department.  The doctor was excellent; however, the billing department was less than adequate.[redacted]
