I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I'd like to say that I am not a type of person to try to get something for free or not pay for services or products I have received. I am rejecting this response from Alice Nails. I actually take offense that [redacted] stated "This is completely false information" in reference of overcharging me for services received. Between phone call conversations and written responses...they are the ones that have changed the services I have supposedly received. Each time there is contact with them...I find out that I supposedly had different services. In the most recent written response...now they say that I received a design? I have never in my life had a design on my fingernails or toenails.
I have already gone into great detail in my original explanation so I will summarize the points.
I asked for a French Pedicure. My mother-in-law, who has frequented this business in the past, usually gets a regular pedicure. She was sitting right next to me and also had one that day. I know mine was to be an extra $5 due to the French tip. I did not receive a "design" as they stated in their most recent written response. We both started close to the same time...and I was actually finished before her...and she had plain polish...not a French like I did.
I had plain polish applied to my nails during the manicure. I have had gels on rare occasions in the past...and when doing gels...you put your hands under special lighting after each coat. There was no special lighting...and no drying in between. Also...Gels usually last for a few weeks. Usually you notice new growth at the base of the nail before the ends start chipping off. This polish from this manicure was chipping and falling off before my weekend vacation was over.
I actually stopped in at a local nail salon and had them look at my nails after I got back in Milwaukee. They stated that "No way" that I had gels.
When I told my mother-in-law about what was going on with Alice Nails...she said straight out "No...you didn't have Gels done!" And she frequents this business.
A couple of weeks ago...I went to another local nail salon near me...and asked to have gels done on my fingernails and a French Pedicure. As I stated earlier...they put my hands under a special light after each coat (which I did not have done at Alice Nails)...and after 2 weeks...it's all still intact. Alice Nails...the polish was chipping after 2 days.
When I was finished with my services on May 15...I asked the price. I was told$25 and $12. $37 total. I had $60 cash in my purse and I remember thinking..."I have enough to pay for the services and tip but I think I will keep my cash for my vacation weekend."
Alice Nails does not generally accept credit cards but said they would accept them as they knew my mother-in-law and she was paying with credit card. I asked if I could add a tip on the credit card payment as well. I was told I could. I always give 20% tip. 20% of $37 is $7.40 tip. I rounded up to $8 for the tip. $37 for Services+ $8 for Tip = $45.
Alice Nails claims that my total was $75...which I know I would not have had enough cash to pay for. I remember thinking when I got my total that I actually had enough cash to pay for services and tip.
Also...Alice Nails claims that I was giving $7 tip. That would only be 10% tip...actually less than 10% tip. I have never given that low of a tip. It's always 20% tip that I add to the services.
Below is a copy of the receipt that was e[redacted]led to me after I paid for my services on their Ipad. If you notice there is "Custom Amount $37 and Custom Amount $45". It's kind of funny how the two amounts listed are the exact amounts that I said were for my services ($37) and the total amount that I said that I paid ($45) including the tip.

I am writing on behalf of Alice Nails in Eau Claire. We received a complaint from [redacted] claiming that we overcharged her money for the services we provided. This is completely false information. When [redacted] came into the salon on May 15th, she...
indicated that she wanted a deluxe pedicure with french tips on her toenails and a design. We then told her that a deluxe pedicure last one hour and would be $50. The deluxe pedicure cost $40 plus french tip is an extra $5 as well as designs which are also an extra $5. She said she was okay with that because she usually gets a deluxe pedicure in Milwaukee. When we were done with her pedicure, she said she also wanted a manicure which we told her is $12 for regular polish and $25 with gel polish. She was talking with a couple of customers and she then decided to go forward with the gel manicure. After she was finished, she used her credit card. We use the square for the iPad as our payments for credit cards in which we told her the total of $75 for both and asked her if she wanted to add on a tip that we put in manually before customers sign their names. She said she would like to make it a $7 tip which would make the final total $82. She then signed her name and got a receipt. Also when a person signs their name on the iPad, it shows the total above. We would like to see a copy of the receipt she has because we looked into our records and it did indeed indicate the $82 total. If there is a mistake on our end we would gladly refund her money but we would like to see proof first.
