I am not happy with there reply they did the work and they did something to cause the fire the fire report says it started it the engine department they should stand behind there work if nothing else I want people who check on them to see how they stand behind there work burn your car down then say they did nothing wrong they should refund what I paid them

I am responding to *** ***'s complaint on her Cadillac Escalade that we serviced on 08-18-2017.When she brought her vehicle in she asked us to check it over & That her check engine light was also on and the engine was not running right and that she wanted a tune up and oil change. So
we performed a complete diagnostic on her engine at no cost to her which is usually $and the reason was to find out what was going on with the running of her engine & find out what was causing her ck engine light to be onAnd then we performed a complete vehicle inspection as well so we could tell her exactly if anything she did or did not need.I then Informed *** that there were six codes in the computer that was causing her engine light to be on and that she would need a tune up with new spark plug wires, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter & that she should have the throttle body cleaned & a fuel injection service and that she would also have to have a fuel pressure regulator as it was leaking fuel and causing low fuel pressure and was dangerous due to it leaking fuel.I then covered the other items she she have to get fixed as soon as she could & included a rear main oil seal leaking oil & shocks & an alignment.I wrote everything down on her work order and gave her the prices for everything of which I have copies of .Miss *** told me she was only able to due the oil change and the tune up which was the spark plugs and spark plug wires & the air filter that was all she could afford at this timeSo I explained again theimportance of replacing the fuel pressure regulator that was leaking fuelSo her father was with her at the time and he agreed and said he would pay for thatMiss *** paid $& Her Father paid $For The Fuel Pressure Regulator & I gave Them A 15% cash discount to help even though they only paid cash and the rest on credit cards. After We changed The Oil & Filter & Replaced The Spark Plugs & Wires & Air Filter & Fuel PressureWe Cleared The Codes & Test Drove The Vehicle An Everything Was Running Fine. One week later miss *** returned and said he eng was not running right and hard starting and jerking First of all she also stated we replace an ignition coil which we did not but we did rechecked the engine & Found low voltage to battery & alternator diodes bad and explained she would need an alternatorwe had nothing to do with this problem nor did we cause it to fail but I would be glad to put a used alternator on to avoid any further disappointment miss *** is having toward my shop especially since it has taken a little more time to respond to this complaint due to an illness of my own but if you have to jump start a vehicle or have it towed something should tell you that the battery or alternator is not charging not because of a tune up or oil changeI Have a lot Of Customers think An Oil Change Will Turn Off A Check Engine Light And This will not happenI am In the business to repair & help customers not rip them offI will be more than happy to help miss *** get her vehicle to where she needs to go during her injury but there are a lot off things that can go wrong or go bad if regular maintenance is not performed or suggestedI Realize that sometimes it may it may not be fesable at the time but we do try to do every thing we can to help the situation & the customer. If Miss *** would Like To Call Me I Would Be More Than Glad To Try And Assist Her.Please Know My Techs Are Certified Master Techs & I Have served Miss *** On Other Occasions I Believe it was with her crown Vic in & ford Taurus in Please Feel Free To Contact Me If You Would Like To Discuss This Further.Sincerely,*** ***Arts Tune & Lube

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[4/13/18 Revdex.com, Inc S.th Street Louisville, KY 40203 RE:#*** On 8/18/I *** went to Arts Tune & Lube to have an oil change and a tune up done on my carI also asked MrArt to check to make sure there was not anything else going on with the carAfter they did the oil change and tune up I also mentioned that it was becoming hard to startI though that might have been a starter problem but come to find out it was my fuel pressure regulator, so I told them to fix thatAfter I left the shop my car seems to be running well starting and allAbout days later I noticed that my car was running hard and cutting of at every light or stop sign (my car has never done that before I sent it to Art’s Tune & Lube) also the engine light came back onI contacted Art’s Tune & Lube and he advised me to bring the car backAfter taking it back they advised me that there would be $more work to be doneI was confused because I just had my car fixed one week ago for $and none of this came upAfter I started having more problems with the car staying started I tried contacting Art’s Tune & Lube again only to get the voice mail after attempting to contact the shop for a week and only getting a voice mail it came to me this shop must have caller Id and I was being ignored, and at that point I contacted Revdex.com. I have done business with MRArt in the past on several cars and felt he was an honest car repair shop that did not pray on women who came to his shopI just could not understand why my car was shutting off after having repairs doneIt did not do this before the repairsI was trying to make sure that the parts put on my car where working correctlyNow far as the claim of how I paid for my services weather by cash or credit that has nothing to do with how my car is performing it wasn’t a canceled check, so he got paid in fullHe also mentioned that he has customers that think and oil change and tune up will fix their problemsI’m not one of themI have knowledge, understanding and have had several cars to know that an oil change and tune up will not fix all your problems, and I also know that just because your engine light is on does not mean you have a motor problem (it could be as simple as your gas cap not being screwed on tightly). The claim that he tried to help me is and my car was not cutting off before this shop done repairsAll I wanted to do was get my car serviced before the winter came about but had a very frustrating winter worried that my car would not start and would be stuck somewhereSo, at this point I am not a satisfied customer
