Guru Dental

I had a sales person that promised me that this dental software would help me increase my revenue and allow us to confirm the patients. They were very persistent. I ordered the software; however, it was not installed because it would not work with my computer software. The salesman should have known that this was going to be a problem because he remotely demonstrated on my computer system. I sent the software back, and they knew that it was not installed. I also sent the I-pad back, but they failed to give me my money back. Another company, [redacted], gave the full amount of the loan to Guru ($5,600) and I am having to pay this back for nothing. Please help me. I have tried to reach out to the company, but I got no where. Business Response Our return policy is stated on the order form that the office signed when they purchased the product."RETURNS: GD will not accept goods for return or credit, other than for claim warranty, unless GD has first granted permission and you receive a return material authorization number issued by GD. Risk of loss for returned goods will remain with you, and you shall reimburse GD for any costs it incurs in connection with the shipment and return of goods including, but not limited to: (a) 15% handling; (b) examination; and (c) repacking charge. Customizations and/or data conversions designed to your specifications are not returnable under any circumstances, and you shall reimburse GD for any costs incurred in connection, except for approved claims."As is standard practice with computer software, it is difficult to return a product once it has been opened. It is our standard practice to work with an office to implement the software. We do not authorize a return once an office has purchased the product unless and until the office has made a good faith effort to implement the software. This protects both buyer and seller from short-term emotional decisions. Our experience has shown that once implemented, the office realizes the benefits of the program and there is no desire to return the product. If, after an appropriate implementation effort, an office does not see value in including our products into their work flow, an RMA can be obtained per our policy referenced above. No RMA has been issued. Guru Teach operates as a standalone product and can be loaded on any computer with operating system currently supported by [redacted]. We have communicated with this office multiple times. The local sales rep in San Antonio has offered assist the office in implementing the product. We have offered to assist the office in updating their practice management software and computers. Our product Guru Teach integrates with Dentrix for all versions released since 2007. Guru Connect integrates with all versions released since 2009. It is our goal to meet our customer's expectations and provide products that add value. We have over 4000 customers in the USA and another 4000 in various international markets. We are more than willing to work with this customer to implement the product they chose to purchase. If, after a successful implementation, the office still feels they wish to return the product, we will authorize a return according to our policy.
