I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending DrainScope for drainage problems. Earlier this year, a small leak in the basement indicated perimeter drain problems. Two quotes from reputable firms were about $[redacted] apart so a friend who had experience with DrainScope suggested I get them to provide a quote. I was told they would only do work that was required but if everything needed to be done, they would be very expensive but are excellent and well worth it.

When Derek returned my call, I was impressed with how much information he had on the site without ever seeing the place and how he was genuinely interested in what my plans were for the house, if I was going live there for long or sell or ? The most important question of all was "how do you know you need to have the perimeter drains replaced?"

I said I had someone come to clean the drains because of a leak and they couldn't clean them so they suggested I get them to provide a quote for replacing the perimeter drains. Derek said that they would check the drains with a camera and if I got them to do the work, the cost would be deducted from the final invoice.

To make a long story short, Derek said the photos showed that spot repairs and some tile replacements would suffice unless I want to replace all the drains and upgrade to the current code which would be very expensive. The photos were emailed to me so I could see for myself what needed to be done.

The work was done sooner than expected at a fraction (¼) of the cost of a total replacement. Bonus - you could not tell that there was heavy duty equipment on the property earlier that day. The only casualty was a fancy weed.

All the rain we had this fall has been the ultimate test -- not a drop in the basement! I am so very pleased and worry-free and can't thank Derek, Leah and his crew enough. The field crew were very pleasant and worked fast; Derek and Leah were wonderful -- they are both very knowledgeable and happy to answer any and all questions you might have.

I was provided with complete documentation of the project from beginning to end. I highly recommend DrainScope.
