I did work on this customers car, I put a timing chain and tensioner in along with a knock senser. It had a code in it for the sensor and timing chain was noisy. Made the repairs and a week later the customer said it was making noise when engine was cold so I told him I would take a look at it. When taking a look at it the timing chain tensioner was not staying extended. The tensioner works on oil pressure and with no oil pressure the timing chain jumped and bent valves it would have happened it were here or not. I told the customer what happened and wanted to see what caused it upon further inspection I found that the oil pick-up was plugged and oil filter was extremely heavy causing an oil pump failure. For that reason I do not feel that I am responsible for the failure. I had nothing to do with that. Thank you. [redacted]
