I am responding to the above noted complaint.? The complaint states: The purchase date of Iron Filter is 11/30/Company removed a working unit to replace with new that never worked correctly When customer refused to pay, the company removed the new equipment & is still billing a
rental fee for equipment no longer in home Guthrie & Frey response: The Iron filter was installed as a rental unit on 4/21/ The equipment that was removed was deemed to be not worth repairing without significant cost, as determined by a qualified service technician that was called to the home.? It was approximately years old at that time The company assumed the new equipment was working correctly and efficiently as there was not one call to the office requesting a service visit or expressing displeasure with the operation between 4/21/and the removal date of 10/30/ Between 4/21/and 10/30/the office made attempts to phone the home requesting paymentThere were visits to the home over this period in an attempt to collect the balance owed There were monthly statements mailed to the home over months.? In that time payments were made towards the balance, never bringing the balance current The rental amount stopped when the equipment was removed on 10/30/17.? There is still a statement being mailed monthly that includes the unpaid rental balance and accruing finance charges only I respectfully refute the charges made against Guthrie & Frey Water Conditioning, LLC.? We have attempted to work with this customer with no success Our desired settlement is payment in full as billed I can provide backup detail for the information provided, if needed

rental fee for equipment no longer in home. Guthrie & Frey response: The Iron filter was installed as a rental unit on 4/21/14. The equipment that was removed was deemed to be not worth repairing without significant cost, as determined by a qualified service technician that was called to the home.  It was approximately 15 years old at that time. The company assumed the new equipment was working correctly and efficiently as there was not one call to the office requesting a service visit or expressing displeasure with the operation between 4/21/14 and the removal date of 10/30/17. Between 4/21/14 and 10/30/17 the office made 27 attempts to phone the home requesting payment. There were 5 visits to the home over this period in an attempt to collect the balance owed. There were monthly statements mailed to the home over 42 months.  In that time 7 payments were made towards the balance, never bringing the balance current. The rental amount stopped when the equipment was removed on 10/30/17.  There is still a statement being mailed monthly that includes the unpaid rental balance and accruing finance charges only. I respectfully refute the charges made against Guthrie & Frey Water Conditioning, LLC.  We have attempted to work with this customer with no success. Our desired settlement is payment in full as billed. I can provide backup detail for the information provided, if needed.
