Roof installation by Gutter Helmet by Harry Helmet Rating is minus one
I have had Gutter Helmet for several years and was pleased with them, so when I needed a new roof I called them. 4/23 the sales person came out to give me a price ( very high). being a senior citizen I went with them. I told the sales person I had to have the roof installed by 5/9. He promised all kinds of things ( the roof would be done by that date, they do not use contractor only their employees, etc) Promises made never came . I called him about mid May to cancel the contract since the agreed date was not met. His reply was no one called you? and you will lose your $4,000 deposit if you cancel. The roof was installed on 5/28. Called the company that the roof was leaking into the basement, two days later they sent out a team who wanted to get into the attic (the attic a very small crawl space no one fits) I had to wait until mid June to get all the garbage taken away.8/23 called the company the roof has beaked again into
the basement. I paid a premium price for the roof and received bargain basement service, if any. BEWARE IF YOU THEM FOR A ROOF

My experience was excellent, no problems at all If I had a question I got a response right away didn't have to wait

Meet with the customer explained to her the roof is not the best condition and she does have another contractor to replace itThe reason for replacing the existing Gutter Helmet was she had damage to the system and it wouldn't match upI let Mrsknow we will come out and remove the system before
her contractor starts the roof and when they are done we will reinstall if she still wants itThis customer has had Gutter Helmet for several years and is pleased with its performance

 What response, I never received any reply  plus they still have not fixed the problem!!!  They don't need to talk to me to come and fix the incorrect installation!

attic. Solar heating. Below freezing temperatures. It was also explained that there was not anything we can do while his gutter system was in a frozen state; however, once we have a break in the weather conditions, we would come out to make any necessary adjustment to the Gutter Helmet.  We also discussed the Heated cables as a possible option.  Mr. [redacted] called our office again on January 27th, 2015, and he agreed to have his consultant, [redacted] come to give him an estimate, for the Heated cables on Wednesday, January 28th, 2015.During [redacted]s’ visit; Mr. [redacted] said that he was in the process of having insulation added to hisattic.  In the meantime, he was assured we would come assess his situation and make any adjustments once there was a break in the weather and the working conditions were safe to do so.  As on record, February 2015, was the 2nd coldest February in history, which affected our ability to address Mr. [redacted] concerns.  To this date, we still have an active service pending for Mr. [redacted]. Gutter Helmet’s intent continues to be to address Mr. [redacted]s concerns as soon as the weather permits. [redacted]Regional Operations Manager

Review: I have Gutter Helmet on my home which carried a lifetime warranty on material and performance. A wind storm lifted two of the panels which affects the performance of the product. The company wants to charge me $400+ to repair the unit.

The unit is no longer performing as warranted.Desired Settlement: I want the unit properly installed as promised by the company at no charge to me.

In August 2011 the customer called in with an overflow issue which was determined to be due to dented panels from tree branches falling on the system . In September 2011 we went out and replaced two Gutter Helmet panels at no charge to the customer as a one time courtesy, which is not covered under the manufactures warranty.In April, 2015 we received a call from the customer that he had a wind storm lift a couple of panels. We sent our Quality Control Inspector out to assess. His findings were a couple of lifted panels in one area and more dents in other areas (5 panels needing replace) and can’t be determined how they were damaged. Whether it was from another contractor, storm related, etc. . As stated in the complaint, the problem occurred during a wind storm, the warranty states, issues resulting from acts of nature are not covered under the Gutter Helmet warranty. As a courtesy we did secure the two panels at no charge. In addition, the customer has been advised there are damaged panels which are in need of being replaced. If the panels are not replaced, the Gutter Helmet system will not be able to operate properly and as per the warranty, the areas involved are void until replaced. The charges being referred to are for damages to the system, not due to warranty issues. Ron [redacted]Regional Operations Mgr.

Review: In early October 2015, we met with a representative from Gutter Helmet by Harry Helmet to discuss details of the gutter system. At that time we were told that the work should be completed within 30 days, or 45 days at most - especially at this time of year. The contract states, "Work to be scheduled and completed within 45 days of the contract receive date, weather permitting." We were happy with what we heard, so we mailed them our contract, and they confirmed that they received our signed contract on October 6, 2015. As per the contract, they charged our credit card for one third of the total bill. The weather here has been exceptionally good for this time of year, so I called on November 6 and again on November 18 but we were still not scheduled to have the system installed. November 20 marked the end of the 45 days but we never received word that we were scheduled. I called again on November 30 and left a message stating my concern, and received an email in return saying that we are tentatively scheduled for the week of January 3, 2016. Even if Harry Helmet installs our system on January 3, that would be 89 days after receiving our contract. We are disappointed that the actual amount of time it is taking Harry Helmet to install their system is twice as long as our contract states, and we were never informed of any delays. In addition, they continue to hold our money while the work remains incomplete.Desired Settlement: We hope Gutter Helmet will be able to install the system before December 24.

Review: I got the gutter Helmet system and was charged $$2,258 and the product has cause water damage to my garage and basement and ice build p on my security cameras and garage light because the helmet was not properly installed. I called the company numerous of time requesting someone come and correct this situation but no one has came and now I have water flooding my garage and basement. Before the gutter helmet system was installed there was no water in my garage or basement!Desired Settlement: come and correct the gutter helmet system so that the water don't run down into my garage and basement. Correct the helmet system so no ice will damage my garage light and security cameras.

Review: I had a sales person come out to give me an appraisal on installing the gutter heating system for my roof and gutters and downspouts. I proceeded to tell him that I have serious problems with icicles on both my front and rear roof also my porch roof. He in turn told me the two types of installation pricing. The first pricing was to install the heating elements in my gutters and downspouts only for one set price. The second pricing was to install their gutter helmet heat system on my roof along with the gutters and downspouts this would in turn take care of the problem with my icicles. I agreed on the second pricing to have my complete roof, gutters and downspouts with their heat cable system. I in turn paid a higher amount to have everything done correctly. After our snowfall that we have had, I had not seen any signs of my roof melting the snow. I contacted the office and explained this situation why their system is not working. Because no snow has melted off my roof. They told me they would send out a crew to check on this. When the installers came out the one man told me that they did not install the heat cable on my roof panels, which he said to me that was very odd that the heat cables were not going to be installed under the roof panels. The salesman then called me back the next day and explained that I did not pay for that. During his presentation I received two pricing. I believed I was supposed to get the heat cable on my roof panels and gutters and downspouts. I explained to him what good are the roof panels without the heat cables underneath them ? I said to him you misled me and I paid double for some useless panels. He in turn told me that I would have to pay extra for the heat cables along with the labor to install them under the roof panels. So now I have to pay for parts and labor and I have to get an electrician out for a second time and pay him wire up the heat system. I should have been told about the extra price for the heat cable under my roof panels. RIPOFF !Desired Settlement: This company should install the heat cable under my roof panels and not charge for parts or labor. Because I have to now call an electrician to wire this up and pay a second time. More money out of my pocket. I feel this would be a fair settlement.
