I am trying to get another opinion on my gutters. I do admit they needed to be cleaned out but someone from the company told me you only have to get them cleaned out once a year. Now I am being told 3 to 4 times a year. I am very concerned since Gutter and Stuff told me they charge over 300.00 to...

clean gutters. I had another company do it in the past for $90.00. Another red flag that was raised, when I called him back to let him know that another company was at my house and told me they thought gutters were hung badly in the front of house the gentleman from Gutter and Stuff said they would not honor the warranty on the gutters if I had someone else work on them. My gutters are still leaking. Gutter and Stuff said I needed another downspout before they can fix the leak. Why did they not say that when they put them up to begin with. The estimate to put in another downspout and fix shingles is over 300.00. I do admit after he showed me pictures there must have been storm damage. An appointment was missed and I made it clear that I probably would not have been so upset that I contact Revdex.com if it wasn't for that. He commented that they must have came but missed me. No note on door that they had been there or phone call to me to reschedule. Bottom line is my gutters still leak and he will not fix them unless I invest in another downspout. I am very appreciative that he did put gutters back up which he said was storm damage at no cost. I am trying to get another professional opinion on fixing gutters before I invest more with Gutter and Stuff. I really would want to get another professional before issue resolved

We will be happy to position the gutters and add a downspout for maximum drainage. The price of the downspouts and labor will be $150.00 All other storm damage has been repaired at no cost. If any further questions please inform us of the information.Sincerely Greg Dunn

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10656856, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The gutters have a 25 year warranty for how they were installed.  There isn't anything written or implied when I contracted them to do the gutters, that if the gutters would start to leak they would put in another downspout and charge $150.00.   The gutters should be under warranty that they would not leak and were installed correctly.  That if a problem arose that the warranty would cover that.  As far as Gutter and Stuff correcting all the storm damage, that is not correct.  I did have Greenwell Home Pro fix the shingles on the roof that Gutter and Stuff said was due to storm damage.  The other gutter coming off the side of the house that Gutter and Stuff said was due to storm damage was fixed by Gutter and Stuff.  I am still not certain that it was storm damage that caused the gutter to come off the side of the house, but there is that possibility it was. There is still an issue of what it would take to put up another downspout at my house.  From the photo of the front of the house you can see where I had them move the gutter to the front of the house where it drains into the yard.  Originally there was only 1 downspout by the garage that drained into the flower bed.  One of the reasons I wanted new gutters was to move the downspout from draining into the flower bed because water had no where to go.  It was causing damage to the foundation of my house.  I had to have B Dry come out and repair a crack where water was leaking into the basement.  Even though B Dry repaired the crack, they said if I did not move the downspout from draining there, an issue would just arise in another part of the foundation. So that is why I wanted the downspout moved from the flower bed.  Gutter and Stuff is wanting to put a downspout back in that same spot.  They said one option was to put something that would angle the rainwater down the driveway.  If you look at photos of my driveway, if a downspout was put there it is possible water would go in the garage.  Not only that every time you walked into the house when it is raining you would have to walk thru rainwater coming from that downspout.  There is a retaining wall right by the sidewalk.  The only way to really put a downspout there is to run something from a downspout under the sidewalk and retaining wall into the yard and that would be very expensive. Greenwell Home Pro said there was no need to do that. That if the gutters were put up correctly and angled down to the one downspout that would work.  They said the problem with my gutters is they have them angled as if a downspout was near the garage and not to flow to the one downspout in the front of the house. I am wandering if Gutter and Stuff cannot do the work under their warranty to angle the gutters themselves, if I could get Greenwell Home Pro who is Revdex.com certified to correct the front gutter issue, and have Gutter and Stuff pick up the bill.   I should not have hired a company that was not Revdex.com certified.  I don't know what good a 25 year warranty is on the gutters, if they are saying I have to spend more money to have them do it correctly this time.  (which would be a total mess when it rains walking into my house or water in the garage they way they would want to fix the problem now.)
