Wesbanco is the worst bank, in my opinionMy mother got a loan for a car back in and always paid on time EVERY MONTH FOR YEARS! Well, about a year or so ago, she had a heart attack and had to have surgeriesShe was out of work for a few monthsNeedless to say, she missed a few paymentsShe called in to let them know what was going on, and assured them that she would catch back up as soon as she was able to get back to workTHEY SAID, "TOO BAD!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! This woman has made payments every month, ON TIME, FOR YEARS!!! She misses a couple because of medical problems and you say, "too bad?!" They wont accept her sending $extra with her usual payments because, "that's not good enough." They want the whole lump sum at onceThey will not accept her sending $extra with her payment every month so that she can catch up on what she missed when she was IN THE HOSPITAL HAVING MULTIPLE SURGERIES! I am so infuriated with this company! I will tell anyone and EVERYONE about this! I will not stop until wesbanco has no more customers! I PROMISE!

My family always banked with Wesbanco and so I setup an account when I started college and have used them for the last years so I can base my argument on plenty of time dealing with themFor the first year I don't think I had much problem at all, after that it just went downhillI've had checks I write not go through even with funds available, I've had checks written to me that cost me money and then went through the next day, I've been charged time and time again probably in the 3-$for overdraft protection when I have a secondary account setup with plenty of funds availableI had my card canceled over a unidentified $charge and never sent a new one after numerous requests, I've tried to submit checks via mobile deposit and it ends up freezing my account and check in which case I have to wait or go have another payroll check writtenThe online portal is terrible and never works for ANYTHINGI honestly don't know how Wesbanco is still in business with how they treat their customersMy final straw was when I drained my accounts and turned off all auto payments but one still tried to go through and oh look another overdraft charge $for denying a paymentSo now I have to pay on both ends! I very happily went to the ATM of my new bank and withdrew the cash to pay off the account and close everything and cease to be a Wesbanco customer because I refuse to be taken advantage of at every cornerI work very hard for my money and Wesbanco getting rich from screwing people is not acceptable
Will never deal with them again and will keep anyone I can from dealing with them as well

I have been with Wesbanco for at least years nowNot until this past year of have I had issuesThere came a point where money was being sent across country and continued to do so for quite a period of timeWhile this was going on I had different surgeries and was not in a position to be checking my accountThen one day I received a call from Wesbanco that there were some questionable charges to my debit cardI immediately went to the main branch in the Northern panhandle of WV to file a dispute claim after they had brought it to my attentionWhile sitting in the office an additional $had left my accountI did everything as suggested by the bank and how to dispute the charges alot with canceling my cardThey still denied my claim for the fraudulent charges and I had receive a letter stating thatWhen called to question this I was told they did their investigation and found nothing but told me the money was being sent across country via PayPalI called PayPal at this point and was informed noone from Wesbanco had even contacted them about the issue at handAlso the manager in which I spoke to said without a doubt they were fradulent charges and she had seen things like this beforeAnd they would without a doubt get me my money back if they bank would have done their investigation as promised which they didntWhen this issue had arrived I had just had a loan deposited into my account for the closing cost on my house, and within days of it hitting my account over half of it was goneWesbanco seems very insecure with peoples accounts and informationIve known alot of people to have this happen not to mention it was on the news as well for a big scam that had happened in this areaIm just curious on how I can be out all this money when they were the ones who notified me about the issue and told me what steps to take and there was no resolution on their behalf

Had a checking and secured savings, fell upon a hardship during the oil and gas decline in January 2015. Asked for hardship help, received the age old " Sorry, but we can't help during your time of need." Months later still trying to resolve problems they just avoid or say there nothing to be done. Warning to those thAg may fall on hard times, this bank will not help at all! They instead will kick you when your down, then proceed to nail your credit for what it's worth, then refuse to work anything out, or respond with a willingness to help. We all have hard times but they shouldn't haunt you for years to come.

I am so infuriated with this company! I will tell anyone and EVERYONE about this! I will not stop until wesbanco has no more customers! I PROMISE!
