Gutters of Long Island, Inc

After only getting a phone estimate (from Paul Karlos - who came to my house twice WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT, both times I didn't answer doorbell), during the call I tell Paul I will be getting multiple estimates & I need to speak to my husband then get back to him (which I NEVER did). Then Long Island Gutters sent 3 men out to my house at 8:30AM this morning. They started working on my roof! They didn't even ring my doorbell to speak with me. All of a sudden I hear a ladder open up & then men walking on my roof, working! Startled and shocked, I went outside to see what was going on. The men said, "didn't you request service?" I said "NO!" They pulled out a piece of paper with an amount of $600.00 marked on it! Which was $325.00 more than the phone estimate! I said what the F is going on?! I told them to take their ladder down & leave immediately! I called the office of Long Island Gutters and gave them a piece of my mind. I was LIVID & rightly so. They told me, "it must've been a misunderstanding", "it's not a big deal." I said "IT IS A BIG DEAL." What if these people did something to my roof or my gutters to purposely damage them so they'd have something to repair? There was definite banging. What were they doing? What kind of scam operation are they running? Then the awful representative contacted me (Paul Karlos), he acted like he did nothing wrong, didn't apologize, called me a derogatory name & told me to Fk off, then hung up on me. What a horrible experience! How is this business still operating? Absolutely awful. I can't even begin to fully articulate the disgust my husband & I feel about what happened. Obviously the owner, George Dimou didn't train his employees properly. This Co. is a DISGRACE. How do you make that kind of mistake then not be immediately apologetic? What?! UNBELIEVABLE. I reported them to the Revdex.com & filed an official complaint/report. Horrified.

Customer service from quote to doing the job was excellent.

Cost of job was better than expected.

Quality of work preformed was way above my expectations of excellent workmanship.
