I requested to have a leather red belt and handle onto my vintage school bag, but got leather black belt and handle instead.On 11/16/13, I picked up my vintage school bag. I noticed the belt and handle were not red, but black.On 11/19/13 called Guy's shoe & luggage to asked why the belt and handle was black? Guy's shoe & luggage replied; the vendor did not have red so I put black.Guy's shoe & luggage never call me to ask if they could put leather black belt and handle. I was told by Guy's shoe & luggage that the leather belt and handle will be dye red. It would take a couple of days for it to dry.Desired SettlementGuy's shoe & luggage did not ask me if they could change the color to black. Therefore, I am asking for a refund of $20.00.Business Response To whom it may concern, Concerning case [redacted]. When [redacted] brought in the bag I'm sure we discussed the red strapping, but I didn't say I would dye the straps. We do not dye leather; due to the dye becoming inferior and cracking. When I placed the order with my distributor, I found out that they don't carry red leather strapping. Considering that the bag was red, white, and black plaid, I ordered a black handle and black strapping. I am remiss for not calling [redacted]. When she came in, on Saturday the 16th, she was very pleased and expressed no complaints. We even spent a few moments laughing about our age and vintage bags. It wasn't until Thursday the 19th, she called and expressed that I charged her extra for dying the straps. I explained, that was the price no matter the color and that we do not dye leather. Since receiving your letter, I have contacted [redacted] and told her, if she wanted to bring the bag back, we would remove the new straps and handle and give her a full refund.We are sorry for any misunderstanding.Sincerely,[redacted]
