GVA Doors & Garage Doors

We didn’t engage GVA but a service of door repair in a website picked them to come to our service.

When I asked for the service charges, the operator said we have to talk to contractor ourselves. However the operator said someone will come in around 9am to 10 am the next morning (26th, July 2022).

My wife received a call from GVA and she asked their service charges but they said they will come to take a look of the problem.

Two technicians came at around 10.15am. At the door step, I asked them to confirm any charges before start the estimation. One of the technicians (Daniel) said Cad$25 for an estimation so immediately I told them I am not require the service if there is any charges.

Daniel called the Boss and said No Worry and I apologized to said sorry.

30 minutes later, I received a text message and bill message of 95$ plus GST for their visit.

They added few more text messages claimed they “won’t rest till I pay for this disrespect and waste of their expensive time.”

Followings with many calls (I blocked) and insulting texts to claim the payment even though I send them pic and told them all conversation were recorded.

We called this evening and Ross came within an hour to fix our broken spring. Amazing quick service and fixed above and beyond. Garage door is working more smoothly. Highly recommend!

Called GVA at almost midnight but they were unable to come in the very poor weather conditions until next morning (fully understandable). Pavel came before 10 am as promised and fixed our door in an hour despite frigid temperatures and the roads in terrible shape. He even help shovel snow from the driveway before I moved the car from the garage. Price was reasonable and very happy to get our garage back in use.

I have a very old sliding patio door that wouldn't lock and I wasn't sure if replacement parts would match, given its age. Within an hour of emailing GVA, the repairman called. Turns out he was in the area and came by a half-hour later. He had a new door handle, and within 15 minutes the job was done. I recommend this company, though they should give the customer a receipt for work done.

Ross, the owner, came to home same day as quote requested. Installed door personally along with installer on day he said he would. Seemed quite meticulous in terms of ensuring door was clean & in good working order following installation. Cleaned up area nicely. Ensured wall pad & remotes operating properly. Motor for garage door was not working. Gave me a quote and came next day and replaced
motor. He repaired the bottom of door which was warped without me requesting it.
