Review: On 10/**/14 I went to the GVS General Vision office located at [redacted] in Brooklyn to have my eyes checked. After having my eyes examined I mentioned to the eye Doctor that I have over the counter prescribed eye glasses for reading and looking at TV. She said to me she will recomend bi-focal for reading, looking at TV and sun shades all in one which I agreed to. The glasses cost me $574.00 out of pocket, which I deposited $100.00 the same day. Over a few months I paid some amount and finally 4/**/15 I picked up the glasses. I tried them on in the store and I could not see properly which I mentioned to the person assisting me. She says it will take time for my eyes to adjust. The following day I took them to work and attempt to read on the train with them and could not see. On my job I could not read anything on the computer monitor neither could I the key board properly. My wife and I took them back to the store on 4/**/15 and spoke to one Sam. She kept them and said in a week I will get them and it will be two separate pairs. Approximately one month after my wife received a call to come and pick them up and that they were defected. I picked them up and only the pair for TV I can see well with. Since then I have gone back to the store asking to see the Doctor who examined my eyes; I was told by one Yasmin that person is the technician. I do not feel I am getting proper services and I asked for partial refund and was refused. I still cannot use a pair of glasses I already paid for. I do not wish to continue doing any further business with GVS General Vision. I have been told the glasses is for looking at the computer monitor. Too many inconsistent stories each time I go there as I am ask to come back several times. Thank youDesired Settlement: I have not been able to use the glasses therefore, I will like a full refund for the pair of glasses I have not been able to use since I picked them up.

Review: I had a full eye exam for contacts and glasses. I asked them for a copy of my prescriptions for both. They sent a copy of the contact without any base curve information. and never sent the one for the e the ye glasses. when I spoke to them again they said they don't give out the eye glasses prescription with the pd. But according to the law that is part of my medical records. And a patients has rights to their medical records.Desired Settlement: a complete copy of my contact and eye glass prescription that I paid for according to the law. that includes my od , pd , dv, base, axis and prism numbers

Review: A few month ago I went to get a contact lenses .I get my eyes exam ,but I decide not to buy them there because of the price was very expensive.Today I went to take my prescription and person named [redacted] refused to give it to me.she said if I want the prescription I have to pay extra for it because I did not buy my lenses there.

In response to complaint ID # [redacted], please note that [redacted] came to GVS an May *, 2013 and had an eye exam. The patient was examined for glasses and contact

lenses. She was told the price of contact lenses, but decided to not buy them. On October **, 2013 when [redacted] came for her contact lens prescription, a sales associate let her know

that as per her insurance if contacts are not purchased at the time of exam, $50 fitting fee applies. She was also advised to call her insurance to confirm that. The insurance details are available, but not included for privacy reasons. Please let [redacted] know that we are sorry that she decided not to stay with us, however the services rendered by the doctor do require payment in accordance with insurance policies.
