GWP Enterprises, Inc. Reviews (1)

Review: In 2013, GWP Enterprises was contracted by [redacted] to conduct over $100,000 of asphalt repairs at [redacted] Paving repairs were completed in Oct 2013.

In May 2014, I observed a large section of a drive lane repair began to break apart. This section is located in front of the [redacted] In 2013, his area was milled down 4" and 4" of new asphalt was installed. The bad section of asphalt repair area was valued at $20,000.

In less than 7 months, this large area is breaking apart.

I repeatedly contacted my Rep at GWP (Joy) via phone calls and emails from May 2014 to Jan 2015 concerning the warranty repairs needed for this section. Most emails were ignored. My phone messages were never returned. When I was able to get her on the phone, she promised she would schedule the repair, however it has never been scheduled. No follow-up from GWP has ever been made to me or our company.

The damaged areas are now and have become a trip/fall hazard.

Note: We also contracted GWP for additional work in 2014. Between both 2013 and 2014, our company contracted and paid GWP over $200,000 in asphalt repairs at [redacted]Desired Settlement: The entire drive lane is the affected are needs to be re-milled down 4" and lay new asphalt properly as a warranty repair. These repairs can NOT be done on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays or holiday weekends.

Since it is now winter, asphalt plants have probably closed and repairs will have to wait until plants reopen in spring.

Shopping Center owners need a written letter from GWP stating they will honor the warranty for the repairs and complete the repairs NLT 1 April 2015.

Response:

GWP was first contacted about the issue on August 14, 2014. The last time we did work at this property was within the month of July 2014. The warranty/need for repair concern was brought up after we had already de-mobilized from the job site. We had someone re-visit the area of concern to inspect the problem immediately. This situation was one that needed the material supplier's input. It took our office approximately 2 weeks to engage the material supplier, then another week or to receive their input and response back as far as the quality of their product perhaps causing this deterioration. All the while, GWP was in touch with [redacted] of [redacted] informing him of the status. Although the timeline may not have been to customer satisfaction, we did our best to keep him in the loop of the course of action. GWP and [redacted] ([redacted]) were in contact several times to discuss the best date to schedule these repairs. Due to holidays, days of convenience for the shopping center and due to GWP's schedule, it was delayed longer than anticipated. Rest assured, GWP is full aware that these repairs need to be done, we have no intention of not doing them. We always stand behind our work and can be certain when this is rectified, the customer will be 100% satisfied. This work will not be done unless GWP feels that the best quality is the end result. Since we are now into the month of January and temperatures have been consistently low and not recommended for asphalt paving, this work will be done as soon as able.
