Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below On January 30th my daughter was injured at Gymnastics World On January 31st I sent this email (names have been removed) I would like to speak with you at some point about an incident that happened to my daughter In brief she was doing flips on the trampoline by the beams and smacked her face on the floor She has a swollen cheek by her eye, a scratch across her nose , a rug burn on her chin and her lower front gums are black from bruisingShe told each coach what had happened to her Not one of them took her aside to as her injuries or to even offer her a piece of ice for the swelling Today (the day after the incident) Her vault coach made fun of her injuries during vault saying ”It’s a good thing you don’t have a beauty pageant coming up?” Her beam coach just remarked with a smirk, “What did your mom think of your face when she picked you up last night”? I think we need to talk.Gymnastics World responded to my email on February 1st at 4:25am with this response (names have been removed)Good Morning I have sent the coaches a note requesting an explanationI will be in touch with you either today or tomorrow My monthly bill was automatically deducted on February 2nd I received a call from one of the coaches named in my original email on February 3rdIn my conversation with her I was basically told that my year old daughter told her she was fine so even though her face was visibly injured nothing was done to assist herMy daughter told her coaches that she was fine because at this gym the students are told that if they cry they will be sent to the lobby My daughter did not want to be sent to the lobby so she waited for the ride home to cry When I told the coach this in our conversation she yelled at me and any response I gave from that point on was yelled over I was basically told that if I didn't like it I should leaveThe next day February 4th we gave notice that we were leaving the gym Had this event never happened I had planned on leaving the gym by March 1stI would have given them, notice as is required in their contractI was allowing my daughter to attend one more month at this gym because she felt bad about leaving her friends Since I was spoken to so rudely and my daughter's injuries were completely ignored I felt she was no longer safe there and we were forced to leave the gym sooner than planned The reason we were choosing to leave the gym is that the coaches spent more time ridiculing my daughter than they did coaching her My daughter would ask one of the three favored gymnasts how to correct her technique since she wasn't getting advise from her coaches This year I had become increasingly more aware of how verbally abusive they had become and I did stop any further private lessonsThe coaches also used excessive conditioning as punishment, having a gymnast do rope climbs because she did the wrong dismount on the bars My daughter was very upset with watching this punishmentSince placing my daughters in a new gymnastics facility they have increased their scores by and higher up to a full point in two weeks This proves that my daughters had potential all along and were just poorly coached As far as Gymnastics World being kind enough to refund our tuition with our other daughter's leaving...they weren't that kind My daughter had sustained an injury and had missed two full weeks of practiceShe had grown increasingly upset with the gym so we left by the beginning of the third week If you can read the blurry attachment that you were given..the gym's policy is to refund the full month if the gymnast misses two weeks due to injury and has a doctor's note to prove the injury exists My daughter had missed two weeks and had a doctor's note yet we were denied the month refund and were given back just two weeks payment Also my husband had just discussed this refund over the phone yet he was able to receive a week refund without a written letter So basically The owner of Gymnastics World picks and chooses when he will stick to his contract and when he won't This is another method of bullying that is used at this gym. After my 1st daughter leaving Gymnastics World we were charged a monthly tuition and meet fees the following month even though she had left the gym We were able to get a refund So it's not as though they are incapable of giving refunds They choose not to I feel that in receiving the letter from Gymnastics World's Corporate lawyer telling me that I will be sued if I do not remove my online reviews of their gym is further proof of how extensive their bullying is I thought it was just their coaches bullying small children and I now I know that the owners attempt to bully the parents as wellGymnastic's World coaches have even been contacting my daughters' new gym threatening them with texts stating that "They better tell me to shut my big mouth or they're going to sue me" As far as my online reviews are concerned they are all truthful and factual and written on open forums that are requesting opinions I have the right to give my opinion I also have an affidavit from a gymnasts that also left Gymnastics World because of the verbal abuse she received from the coaching staff This is further proof that what I have stated here is truthful and that my online reviews are also truthfulThe only reason my refund request for $ for the three weeks my daughter did not attend Gymnastics World is being denied is not because I signed a contract-it's because Gymnastics World is trying to get even with me for telling the truth about their gym and their coaches The money should be refunded to me because we are not using their facility for three of the weeks that we paid for and the reason we are not using the facility is because they have failed to hold up their contractual agreement to give my daughter reasonable care while she was in their custody.Regards, [redacted]

I was quite surprised to read the complaint, due to the fact it comes from a former customer that has previously been granted numerous price considerations dating back to eight years ago when three of their children were enrolled. When one of their daughters dropped out in the middle of a month, (about a year ago) I was kind enough to apply the remaining money to her sister's account. The customer's request for a refund is unfounded, as you will see on the attached document, with her signature, acknowledging our refund rules.Secondly, her accusations that my employees are verbally abusive simply amazes me! Our records show that in the past few years they signed up and paid for private lessons - with the coaches they are accusing of verbal abuse.Had they provided the written withdrawal notification prior to the first of the month, the refund would have given, but they did notIt was a series of phone calls from the girl's father to myself. You should also be aware that we take her charges quite seriously and have had our corporate lawyer send a Cease and Desist notificationHer public accusations of abuse of defamatory and detrimental to my business and to my employees in question[redacted] ***, CFOGymnastics World, Inc

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
On January 30th my daughter was injured at Gymnastics World.  On January 31st I sent this email (names have been removed)  I would like to speak with you at some point about an
incident that happened to my daughter .  In brief she was doing flips
on the trampoline by the beams and smacked her face on the floor.  She has
a swollen cheek by her eye, a scratch across her nose , a rug burn on her chin
and her lower front gums are black from bruising. She told each coach what had
happened to her.  Not one of them took her aside to as her injuries or
to even offer her a piece of ice for the swelling.  Today (the day after
the incident) Her vault coach made fun of her injuries during vault saying…”It’s a good
thing you don’t have a beauty pageant coming up?”.  Her beam coach just remarked
with a smirk, “What did your mom think of your face when she picked you up last
night”?  I think we need to talk.Gymnastics World responded to my email on February 1st at 4:25am with this response (names have been removed)Good
Morning I
have sent the coaches a note requesting an explanation. I will be in
touch with you either today or tomorrow.  My monthly bill was automatically deducted on February 2nd.   I received a call from one of the coaches named in my original email on February 3rd. In my conversation with her I was basically told that my 11 year old daughter told her she was fine so even though her face was visibly injured nothing was done to assist her. My daughter told her coaches that she was fine because at this gym the students are told that if they cry they will be sent to the lobby.  My daughter did not want to be sent to the lobby so she waited for the ride home to cry.  When I told the coach this in our conversation she yelled at me and any response I gave from that point on was yelled over.  I was basically told that if I didn't like it I should leave. The next day February 4th we gave notice that we were leaving the gym.  Had this event never happened I had planned on leaving the gym by March 1st. I would have given them, notice as is required in their contract. I was allowing my daughter to attend one more month at this gym because she felt bad about leaving her friends.  Since I was spoken to so rudely and my daughter's injuries were completely ignored  I felt she was no longer safe there and we were forced to leave the gym sooner than planned.   The reason we were choosing to leave the gym is that the coaches spent more time ridiculing my daughter than they did coaching her.  My daughter would ask one of the three favored gymnasts how to correct her technique since she wasn't getting advise from her coaches.  This year I had become increasingly more aware of how verbally abusive they had become and I did stop any further private lessons. The coaches also used excessive conditioning as punishment, having a gymnast do 12 rope climbs because she did the wrong dismount on the bars.  My daughter was very upset with watching this punishment. Since placing my daughters in a new gymnastics facility they have increased their scores by .5 and higher up to a full point in two weeks.  This proves that my daughters had potential all along and were just poorly coached.  As far as Gymnastics World being kind enough to refund our tuition with our other daughter's leaving...they weren't that kind.  My daughter had sustained an injury and had missed two full weeks of practice. She had grown increasingly upset with the gym so we left by the beginning of the third week.  If you can read  the blurry attachment that you were given..the gym's policy is to refund the full month if the gymnast misses two weeks due to injury and has a doctor's note to prove the injury exists.  My daughter had missed two weeks and had a doctor's note yet we were denied the month refund and were given back just two weeks payment.  Also my husband had just discussed this refund over the phone yet he was able to receive a 2 week refund without a written letter.  So basically The owner of Gymnastics World picks and chooses when he will stick to his contract and when he won't.  This is another method of bullying that is used at this gym. After my 1st daughter leaving Gymnastics World we were charged a  monthly tuition and meet fees the following month even though she had left the gym.  We were able to get a refund.  So it's not as though they are incapable of giving refunds.  They choose not to.  I feel that in receiving the letter from Gymnastics World's Corporate lawyer telling me that I will be sued if I do not remove my online reviews of their gym is further proof of how extensive their bullying is.  I thought it was just their coaches bullying small children and I now I  know that the owners attempt to bully the parents as well. Gymnastic's World coaches have even been contacting my daughters' new gym  threatening them with texts stating that "They better tell me to shut my big mouth or they're going to sue me" As far as my online reviews are concerned they are all truthful and factual and written on open forums that are requesting opinions.  I have the right to give my opinion.  I also have an affidavit from a gymnasts that also left Gymnastics World because of the verbal abuse she received from the coaching staff.  This is further proof that what I have stated here is truthful and that my online reviews are also truthful. The only reason my refund request for $243.00   for the three weeks my daughter did not attend Gymnastics World is being denied is not because I signed a contract-it's because Gymnastics World  is trying to get even with me for telling the truth about their gym and their coaches.  The money should be refunded to me because we are not using their facility for three of the weeks that we paid for and the reason we are not using the facility is because they have failed to hold up their contractual agreement to give my daughter reasonable care while she was in their custody.Regards,[redacted]

I was quite surprised to read the complaint, due to the fact it comes from a former customer that has previously been granted numerous price considerations dating back to eight years ago when three of their children were enrolled. When one of their daughters dropped out in the middle of a month,...

(about a year ago) I was kind enough to apply the remaining money to her sister's account. The customer's request for a refund is unfounded, as you will see on the attached document, with her signature, acknowledging our refund rules.Secondly, her accusations that my employees are verbally abusive simply amazes me! Our records show that in the past few years they signed up and paid for 56 private lessons - with the coaches they are accusing of verbal abuse.Had they provided the written withdrawal notification prior to the first of the month, the refund would have given, but they did not. It was a series of phone calls from the girl's father to myself. You should also be aware that we take her charges quite seriously and have had our corporate lawyer send a Cease and Desist notification. Her public accusations of abuse of defamatory and detrimental to my business and to my employees in question.[redacted], CFOGymnastics World, Inc.

In response to the latest her rebuttal, I offer the following logic and truth:REFERENCE CUSTOMERS FIRST PARAGRAPH:Her daughter was in the gym prior to the start of practice and while warming up on the in-ground trampoline apparently slid off and scraped her face on the padded carpet.  When she went to her first event the coach asked whathappened.  She laughingly described the above and continued with practice. Same thing happened on the ensuing events.  At no time did she cry; at no time did she even offer an explanation until she was asked to do so.  Thecoaches comments were not critical or condemming but rather they were of an inquisitive nature.  She did not claim to be hurt or bothered by this event.REFERENCE CUSTOMERS SECOND PARAGRAPH:Her statement that gymnasts are sent to the lobby if they cry so that's why her daughter didn't cry?!  First of all,  what does this half to do with her refund request?  If an athlete is removed from the gym for improper behaviour, etc. she is told to sit in the lobby and settle down before trying to flip and twist in an emotional snit.  This is never done after an injury for goodness sake!  Why would anyone punish a child for getting injured?  We haven't been in business for 40 years by accident. The point regarding her discussion with the beam coach yelling at her is completely false.  Even if she did yell at her, what would that have to do with a refund?  The customer was told if you are that unhappy then MAYBE you should leave.Regarding our supposed policy on giving refunds for a full month if the gymnas misses two weeks is false.  Reread my first response please.  (sent in a few weeks ago).  We do not give credit for the first two weeks of injury/illness;  if they exceed this boundry appropriate credits are given.REFERENCE CUSTOMER'S SECOND LAST PARAGRAPH:What does her perceived 'bullying' have to do with a refund request?  Our corporate attorney read her postings and deemed them defamatory....which they are since her comments have no merit.  I guess she has the right to heropinion but it is just that, an opinion, not fact.  I also have the right to swing my arm wildly...but that right ends when someone's nose is in the way. Finally, in her last paragraph regarding our refusal to issue a refund, reveals her fabrications.  Her husband texted me and asked for a refund.  I said no, citing our policy.  He answered back, 'Is that your final answer?" I said "Yes".It was only AFTER the above occured that she started creating falsehoods and defametory comments to the Revdex.com and as many social media outlets that she could.Gymnastics World will not issue a refund.[redacted]
