Air conditioner not working while children workout for four hoursThe swamp cooler went out three weeks ago and this is a large metal building. They are using one big fan to cool the entire gymnasium. One mother told me it was 84 degrees in this building just yesterday. The children who are all between two years old to eighteen are running, doing workouts , some for as long as four hours are dehydrated, and sick when they leave. My fear is that one of these kids will get overheated and die. Many of the parents have talked to the owner and told her how dangerous this is, but she ignores this problem. It was 104 yesterday, and it was so hot I could only stand to be in there for five minutes. Desired SettlementFix the air conditioner so it works. They tell us it is working but it is not .very rude when we bring up the problem.Business Response I am responding to the above complaint. First I would like to say I have not had a parent talk to me regarding this problem. I take all complaints seriously and always want what is best for my clients and staff. The fans that are mentioned have been in the gym for the last 12 years to help circulate the air but they are not because we don't have air. We do have air conditioning and it is the same unit for the last 20 years. Yes, it is not working well which is why 3 weeks ago we went into contract to have a new one installed. The HVAC is obtaining permits from the City of Sparks for installation in early August. We have had the HVAC Co. in our facility twice in the last month to help with the air problem. First we replaced the pads. Now they aren't sure what's wrong. Please rest assured that if this parent had actually contacted me I would have been able to reassure them that the gym has purchased a new unit and we are waiting for the City of Sparks to approve the permits. Thank you,[redacted], Owner

Advertising fraud and Inappropriate Accusations and Charging for Services Not Rendered. In August 2014 our son attended a free no obligation trial class at Gymnastics Nevada in Sparks. From there our son wanted to take a weekly class. We received the pricing sheet and course description from a Gym Representative. Upon signing up we were made to pay for the free trial class (or he could not sign up) and attempted to sign up for a 1 hour per week class ($64 a month). A supervising representative took our pricing sheet and crossed off that class and price and told us he could only take the 1.5hr course for $93 per month. We signed him up and were told that we could withdraw him at anytime during the month should we change our minds. Our son's elbows do not extend to the gymnastic standards and his joints have become painful. He missed class on Oct 9th. He asked a gym rep. about a make up class and was told that since we did not call in by 9am on the day of class he could not. He attended Oct 16th class and complained about his joints hurting. I called in after class to withdraw him. I was told that we would not be receiving any type of refund since I had not withdrawn him by the day before. We have paid for 6 weeks of classes that he will not be able to attend and the Gym refuses to refund any of that. In addition, the representative I spoke to became inappropriate telling me that she knows that I know one of their teenage employees and that employee was responsible for our misinformation. To my knowledge I do not know when this employee began working there and they were not the rep. who signed us up. Desired SettlementWe would like to be refunded the $93.00 for the month of November 2014 classes. Business Response Unfortunately, this is the first I have heard of this complaint. My office manager nor gym manager have brought this to my attention. It has NEVER been our policy to false advertise or fraud any customer. Our goal is to create a family atmosphere for our clients. I will be contacting [redacted] to resolve this issue today. I feel my office staff may need a refresher course in customer service. Thank you for the letter. This matter will be resolved.[redacted], OwnerGymnastics Nevada
