I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:It is true that the landlord decided he was not comfortable with a dog However this decision was made AFTER we applied Until then, they were fine with a dogIt was after they received all our information and our fees, that they told us the policy had changed That is not our problemWhen we were interested in the apartment, they told us that this apartment accepted dogs, which is the only reason why we applied We were never told that the landlord was not comfortable or had a limit on the weight of the dog (ours is 20lbs, small dog) For example, a listing agent advertises an apartment with a washer and dryer, and then receives an application from interested clients They collect fees and personal financial information from the clients and then a week later, tell them that they landlord ripped out the washer and dryer It is not ethical to keep the client's fees, since the nature of the apartment has changed, and it does not have the same features that were advertisedI am not sure how I can make this any simpler for you to understand. To take our money and information, then change the pet policy, is not only bad business, it is unethical I am a real estate agent at Stribling and Associates, and I have told them about this case, and even the most senior agents are amazed at the behavior of Gypsy Housing All brokers of Stribling are aware of Gypsy Housing, and are cautious to avoid and advise against working with this company. Also, when we spoke on the phone on Saturday May *** at 8pm, it was because this was the only time that anyone would pick up our callWe had been trying to contact someone all day, and no one answeredI did not scream or belittle whoever I was speaking to; my fiance and myself both spoke very calmly In fact, it was someone in the background on the other line who was screaming When the agent said that he had to go and would call us back, he never did He never asked us to call on Monday, he said that he would call us back in a few minutes. Yes, we paid to apply to an apartment that said in the listing (and by the agent) that ACCEPTED PETS We did not pay to apply to an apartment that would change their policies after taking our money Your credit report is of no use to us, since other places have wanted fees to process their own application. Please do the right thing and return the application fees.

We paid for the clients credit report to be process through the credit bureau and send the file to the landlord. The landlord reviewed the file and said he does not feel comfortable with having such a large dog in his apartment. I informed the client of the landlord decision on Friday...

** of May 2017. The client called me furious on Saturday the ** of May at around 8pm in the night. I explained that the landlord doesn't feel comfortable having a large dog on the 5 floor in a walk up Brownstone building with wood floors which would inconvenience the neighbors on the lower floor. I sat on the phone and listen to the client scream and belittle me for over an hour, I ask her to give me a call on Monday so we can A, resolve the issue with the landlord or B, try and find them a different apartment. I haven't heard back from the client until now when I got the message from the Revdex.com. As it state in our terms and services agreement the application fee is non-refundable! They paid to have their credit report done so they can apply for the apartment. I cannot make a landlord rent the apartment to someone they don’t deemed fit for his property. The landlord said he was ok with pets but have a limit on how big the animal is. I’m deeply sorry it did not work out. I offered to give the client the credit report and ask the client to give us a call on Monday and she never contacted the office.
