THE MONTH OF MARCH 2014 I CONTACTED HB SMITH TO LET THEM KNOW THAT A BOILER THAT I PURCHASED FROM THEM HAD MALFUNCTIONED.AS I MENTIONED BEFORE MARCH 2014 I CONTACTED HB SMITH BOILERS TO LET THEM KNOW THAT A BOILER THAT I HAD PURCHASED HAD MALFUNCTIONED AND NEED TO BE-REPLACED AND IT IS UNDERWARRANTY. I WAS INFORMED BY SUE CONTACT # XXX-XXX-XXXXFROM HB SMITH LOCATED AT 260 NORTH ELM WESTFIELD,MA., THAT I NEED TO CONYACT COMMERCIAL HEATING TO GET A REPLACEMENT UNIT. I CONTACTED [redacted] CONTACT # XXX-XXX-XXXX LOCATED AT [redacted] CT XXXXX FROM COMMERCIAL HEATING AND TOLD HIM THAT I HAD SPOKEN TO SUE FROM HB SMITH ABOUT A REPLACEMENT UNIT AND I WAS INFORMED BY TONY THAT THE WAY IT WORKS IS THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE UNIT UP FRONT IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 1,984.00, WHICH I DID AND THEY WILL TAKE BACK THE OLD UNIT AND SEND IT BACK TO HB SMITH AND WHEN THEY RECEIVE IT I WILL BE REFUNDED BACK MY FULL AMOUNT.WELL I HAVE NOT RECEIVE MY FULL REFUND AMOUNT YET AND I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS SINCE MARCH. I CONTINUE TO GET THE RUN AROUND FROM BOTH COMPANYS AS IF THEY HAVE NO INTENSIONS IN REFUNDING ME BACK MY FULL AMOUNT. I HAVE LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES TO SUE AT HB SMITH CONCERNING THE WARRANTY AND MY REFUND AND MY CALLS HAVE BEEN GETTING IGNORED. I WANT MY FULL REFUND BACK WHAT THEY OWE ME. MY BOILER IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND I DONT THINK THIS IS LEGAL OR RIGHT WHAT THESE COMPANIES ARE DOING TO CONSUMER(S).THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND COOPERATION.Desired Settlement$ 1,984.00 ONE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED EIGHTY FOUR DOLLARS I AM SEEKING.Business Response Material is required to be returned to the factory for an inspection to determine if it is a manufacturing defect and then credit is issued back to our customer. Material was returned on 4/2/14 and on 4/11/14 we had contacted the factory to expedite as it can take up to 4 weeks for disposition. There was material missing which caused additional time for the inspecton. On 4/24 a credit was issued to our customer.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The reason why I do not except the response from the above company is because the company never informed me about any credit being issued and the 3 rd party that who is suppose to refund me back the above amount , which is commercial heating located in Stratford , CT contact person [redacted] # XXX-XXX-XXXX. Also I have tried to have a copy of the warranty emailed to me and have been unsuccessful and my calls ignored. Once again I did not receive no email about receiving my full refund amount from either party. I would like a confirmation email along with my full refund email to me. Also I don't understand how materials was missing when the unit was turned over to them along with everything I know because I took pictures of the unit before it left my residentFinal Consumer Response Thank you for your help in retrieving my refund.
