The homeowner has dramatically changed the area behind his house to disrupt water flowOriginally H&L installed a yard drain to pick up the rainflow along with a swale to catch the large flow of water in larger stormsOver the years the homeowner installed a brick wall around the inlet with out a foundation forsupport along with Landscaping the total area where the swale was originally builtThe homeowner is also required by the by-laws of the HOA before any grading or landscaping is installed it must be approved by the HOANone of this was done everThe reason the homeowners home took on water was a sump pump that stopped working( has not been replaced since home was built) and the dramatic change of the original design of the back yard drain and swale
