Review: I brought my 2006 GMC Yukon into H and L Chevrolet for a repair of a leak in the car's air conditioning system. I brought the car in on June 13th, 2013. The repairs were completed later that same day. H and L Chevrolet gave me a loaner car so that I could run errands during the day. I picked up the car the following day, June 14th, 2013. The air conditioning system worked well when I picked up the car. However, I used the car again on July 15th, 2013 and the air conditioning system was blowing out warm air. I spent nearly $350 to have the air conditioning system repaired. To top it off, my brakes completely failed when I drove the car on July 15th, 2013. I found it extremely coincidental that the brakes failed after a multi-point inspection completed at the repair shop showed that a brake hose needed repairing. The failing brakes turned out to be a result of a severe leak of brake fluid in the rear driver side. Who knows if it was somehow H and L's fault? I'm filing a complaint because of the fact that the air conditioning system is not working properly. When I contacted H and L to complain, they said that I should bring the car in and have it inspected. If that were to happen, I would have needed my car towed in, due to the failing brakes. They didn't even offer to tow it in for free. If they found something wrong with the a/c system, they would repair it, but I potentially would be responsible for the cost. I was flabbergasted. After having spent nearly $350, they wanted me to bring the car in for possibly more repairs that would fail and more money out of my pocket. H and L Chevrolet should stand behind their shoddy worksmanship. If the car needs more repair, H and L should be responsible for the cost. But I don't trust they they would do a good job.

H&L offered to perform a free inspection to see what was causing the a/c to blow warm again and explained if previos repair was not done correctly that it would be fixed to no cost to

customer. The brakes failing are not dealers responsabilty. The customer was told that the brakes needed attention and the customer declined any work done on the brake system. That information is documented on paper with the customers signature.

Review: I brought my Trailblazer, which has been performing beautifully until now, into the service department. It felt like it was struggling, even at low speeds. I could tell that something was wrong. I was told that it was absolutely necessary (I asked her to double check with the mechanic) and sold a package of replacement fluids for the driving column and the transmission, on top of the regular servicing. With tax, my bill came to $922.00. I drove off the lot and my car felt exactly the same. The mechanic hadn't even tried to diagnose or fix the problem! I drove directly to the Stamford dealer, where I normally go except it was booked earlier in the week. I begged them to take my car around the block and figure out what was wrong. It turned out that I need a replacement hub for a wheel baring. It would have been dangerous for my family to be on the road for the holiday weekend without the repair. This location has no desire to serve the customer. They sell products.

H&L chevrolet: The refund dollar amount requested by the customer was disccussed in person between customer and H&L personell. Customers request was met on demand same day and left the dealership with the exact dollar amount that was requested. customer only requested amount for wheel hub repair. H&L covered repair for wheel hub. Customers complaint stems from lack of communication between all parties.
