Review: After speaking to a representative of this company regarding the issues I was having with the power nozzle on my vacuum, they agreed to send me an rma label and have me send it in for repair. The power nozzle was frequently losing power while in use, and was not working as intended. I mailed it in on 9/6, and have confirmation from FedEX that it was delivered and signed for at Health-Mor on 9/11. I called on 9/14 to see what the status of the repair was, and after being transferred several time, was told that they had not yet received the device, and that I would get an email when they had letting me know that they had it. I did not hear anything for several more days, and called in again on 9/20. The woman I spoke with said she would email the service manager and ask her to call me and let me know what was going on. I never heard anything back and attempted to call in again on 9/21, but no one answered the phone after trying literally ten times. I still have not heard from anyone there that they have even received the unit, let alone eta on repair, return shipping, etc. I probably would not be so upset about this if someone from the company gave me a straight answer about my situation, but I have been getting the runaround now for over 2 weeks. Very poor customer service.Desired Settlement: I would like a replacement power nozzle, tube and extender shipped out to me ASAP.

Review: In 2004 my parents [redacted] & [redacted] purchased a majestic 360 vacuum, in June of 2012 the unit seemed to be getting very very hot then the hose stopped working. then I discovered that the unit had been recalled. We never I called the company at least 10 times leaving message after message and no one would call back. When someone did call me it was from the local filter queen office he was extremly rude. He said he would come to my house and look at the vacuum & then started to tell me how much it was going to cost, I told him that the unit was recalled & I am not pay for the repair. he then went on about how "things happen the space shuttle went up in the sky & killed a bunch of people so I needed to deal with it" a lot of other craziness too. I told him that it had been recalled and needs to be fixed he did not care. I told him I was gonna have to contact the Revdex.com then since he was not willing to help me. I no longer feel safe using this unit in my home and this has been going on for 4 months with no resolve I would like to be refunded my money, I am going to have to purchase a new vacuum as a result of a faulty product and a company that is rude and non commutative.Desired Settlement: Would like to be refunded our money for we no longer feel safe using this unit in our home and have to purchase a new vacuum.

Review: A representative sent out a solicitation email with my email address visible to at least 25 other customers. Please do not send out emails to other customer's with my email address visible to them. I have been trying to trace down why I have seen a dramatic increase of spam and phishing emails since last summer and this may be why! You should be using bcc: when sending to multiple customers to protect their privacy! I cannot find any place to unsubscribe or opt out from this FILTERQUEEN specials email. Also, your privacy policy at http://www.filterqueen.com/privacy.php does not deal with how you handle breeches of my privacy such as what happened in this email, which clearly provided my email address in plain view to at least 25 other people without my consent!Desired Settlement: Updated privacy policy which indicates they have a process in place to deal with breeches of their customer's personal/private information and a way to opt out of the solicitation emails.

thanky ou for the fast response in trying to resolve this problem,

Review: A FilterQueen technician was here at my home on Tuesday,3 Mar 15 to service the motor for my Majestic 360 vacuum, which he replaced. After further inspection of ALL the sweeper parts, he informed me that my power head, wand and hose were (and HAD been) under recall. Neither I ,nor my late husband, received ANY notification of parts recall via technician, phone, email,or US mail since we purchased the unit in 2005.The technician left me the 800 number to directly contact HMI ,Inc to see about my replacement parts, since I have RELIGIOUSLY kept up the warranty on this machine. I attempted to contact them by phone on Tuesday,3 Mar 15 AND Wednesday,4 Mar 15,only to reach a recording asking to leave my name and phone number for a return call(which I NEVER received). I contacted them via email yesterday afternoon, only to have them respond in saying that I needed to contact my technician/representative and address this issue with them. The technician was the the person who gave me the 800 number in the FIRST place and indicated that I needed to contact HMI in reference to replacement parts for my sweeper. It is my understanding that this is not the first instance of negligent customer service for HMI. I feel that I should receive the said replacement parts in a timely manner due to the facts that a) the machine is now ten years old AND STILL under warranty and b)no notification of ANY recall for ANY parts were ever sent to me in ANY form by ANY technician/company representative via ANY form of communication.Desired Settlement: HMI,Inc needs to follow through on replacement parts for my Majestic 360 sweeper and be more efficient in customer services/recall notices.

Review: The product I purchased has had major problems, which eventually I found out there were recalls on; (which we were never notified of these recalls),then to get them repaired takes an act of congres to get any results.I have been calling the company for over a period of months and still have had no results. They are very eager to send out people to service these, and yet when there is a recall, everything has to be handled directly throught the company,(over the phone) which is always experiencing a high volume of calls. When I leave a message, it takes days for a return call. Which I do workand am not always available. I try to leave times to return the calls, which they seem to neglect.However. this product needs to be repaired, for the cost, it has many issues.Desired Settlement: Either this needs to be replaced addressed or I will need to take other actions.

Review: In march of this year (2012) I contacted HMI industries regarding the hose, wand and power nozzle on my filter queen vacuum. At that time I was informed those parts were being recalled and I would receive replacement parts in 4-6 weeks. Since that time I have contacted the company numerous times inquiring as to the status of my parts. Each time I've been told I would receive them shortly. It has now been 5 months and have yet to be contacted with a shipping date.Desired Settlement: I would like the replacement parts ASAP!

Very truly yours,

Review: I purchased a Majestic Vacuum Cleaner and Filter Queen Air Purifier from this company in February of 2009. In eary July the vacuum caught on fire and has not been used since. I conteacted to company several times before I finally got in touch with the customer service manager, [redacted], who promised to send me a postage paid box to send back the affected product for replacement. It's been over 2 months and I have yet to receive that box. I have tried to contact him several times and only got in touch withhim one time when he said "oops" and promised to get it out right away. Still waiting. Now I;m at the point where, even if he sent the box, I do not trust that I would get the replacement part sent to me, just lose the part I send back. I have requested refunds and he told me that they need to investigate the part that caught fire after I send it back in the pre-paid package. Today I tried contacting him again and left a voicemail, no answer, no call back and the receptionist said he is the manager, there is no one above him that can help me. He will not answer my calls or return them. I am ready to sue them for the refund of the cost of the vacuum...or at least the replacement of the Dyson they took as "part of my payment towards the product".Desired Settlement: Full refund ASAP to avoid me filing a law suit, if I do not hear back from them with a favorable outcome I will sue for the value of my vacuum, which never should have caught fire in the first place, this he ([redacted])agreed to.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me however I would like to state that the company did confirm with me that the vacuum I had (that caught fire) was NOT a part of the recall and they were "puzzled" by my situation. Review: I bought a Majestic Filter Queen vacuum cleaner I believe in 2007. I spent quiet of a lot of money on this piece of garbage thinking it would be a great investment because my son has severe asthma. I have had many problems with this machine starting with the main motor blew up and had to be replaced, the sweeper part one day I was vacuuming and sparks started coming out and black smoke it almost caught my carpet on FIRE!!!, the wand to the sweeper part broke, and now when I try to turn it on high it does not always turn on. I feel as I was sold a lemon. Health Mor wants me to send every piece in every time something's broke I think after 3 times I should be issued a whole new unit. And when you send the broke part in it takes WEEKS for it to be returned to you. So then your out of a vacuum for that long, I cannot be without a vacuum that long because of my son's health issues. I have tried to call and call many times to get someone to help me with the issue I am having with it turning on and no one will call me back. The last lady I spoke to was very rude. I feel I spent way too much money on this thing to be having this many problems. I tried asking them if they can send me a replacement vacuum while mine is being fixed and they will not. They are a sad company and not about making there customers happy. I had a Kirby salesman come to my door wanting to do a demo and he wanted me to use my vacuum first and it was really embarrassing that my expensive machine wouldn't even turn on. I WILL NEVER recommend a filter queen to anyone. Very poor product and horrible customer service!!Desired Settlement: I want a brand new unit the one I have is garbage!!

We purchased our vacuum in 04 or 05. Cant remember. But a few years ago we got the recall letter for the hose and power head. We got the replacement parts and sent the old ones back. A few weeks ago our vacuum power head caught fire. These are the replacement parts. There was quite a bit of smoke and the connectors were pretty melted. Just beware of this in case you have kids and you leave and they turn that vacuum on and your not around to turn it off if it catches fire. I called them about the issue and they are promptly addressing the issue and sending me new parts. Ive never paid for any maintenance by their salesmen or paid any high prices to maintain a warranty. We take good care of our property. Even if we didn't a vacuum should not catch fire. Ive heard what some people pay to maintain that warranty and good god. But more power to you. Hope this helps someone and prevents a possible fire that injures someone.

Review: We purchases a filter queen vacuum and 2 defender series air filters from a sales rep that came to our house and gave a presentation. As part of the deal they said if we refereed a certain amount of customers to them we would receive gifts of our choosing from a catalog. Well we managed to help them out with referrals and were told we could get a trampoline, which we accepted. Our rep was [redacted] the number which has now been disconnected was 775-[redacted]. After many months of being ignored and given a bunch of excuses we finally managed to get them to say they were sending us a trampoline. What we got was a trampoline enclosure, but not actual trampoline. No response was given when trying to contact them. Then the Reno office apparently was shut down before we could get it resolved. I have tried calling around but nobody at filter queen or its parent company feels like they are responsible, and we have not got what we where promised. I dont know who else to contact. We will happily return the vacuum and filters for a refund if needed, or just settle for the product we where told we would get.Desired Settlement: We would like the trampoline that was promised to us by the salesperson that was representing Filter Queen and Health Mor, and HMI. If not then we would like to return the vacuum and filters for a complete refund of our money.

Review: I have had the filter queen vacuum cleaner for 5 yrs and have had to have the Handle, power wand and sweeper head replaced 3 times, this month, they gave me a rebuilt 3 piece unit. It still does not work right and I was charged $200 for this rebuilt handle, power wand and sweeper head. In December 2012, the service representative had to replace the wand and handle, the wand was covered under warranty. In the 2011, I had to have the wand, handle, hose, power head all replaced. I paid too much money for this sweeper to have the same components replaced yearly. They have told me it is due to different metal alloys that are used for conductors and the one metal doesn't hold well. I spoke with the Manager, [redacted], and he just kept telling me how the service representative worked with me and gave me a discount. I did not feel he was willing to work with me and was condescending.Desired Settlement: I want the $200 back for rebuilt power wand, hose, wand and power head that still doesn't well. Preferably I would like a vacuum that works all the time and just needs yearly check ups, not overhauls.

Review: We bought a brand new FilterQueen Majestic 360 vacuum cleaner in January of 2008. In March of 2012, the power nozzle overheated and burned up some of the electrical components inside. Since it was under warranty, we thought it would be a simple process to get this replaced or repaired. FilterQueen has been fairly good in the past in resolving smaller issues we've had. When we called our local dealer, he told us that there was a recall on our machine and gave us the recall hotline phone number. He told us it was a government number, but we found out later that it's actually the firm's recall hotline. We called that number numerous times and only get a recording, telling us to leave a message. We've left many messages at that phone number, but have never been called back. Our local dealer told us that we should have gotten a call back within 2-3 days. We have not heard anything from the hotline for over four months. We've been told, again by our local dealer, that there's a backorder for this recall. However, we've waited for 4 months already with absolutely no satisfaction or even an indication that we're on the list for a replacement. Meanwhile, our $1200 vacuum cleaner cannot be used. We are borrowing a vacuum every week which is huge inconvenience.Desired Settlement: We would like for HMI Industries, Inc. to replace either the entire unit or at least the necessary parts on our machine to make it operable again. We need an operating vacuum cleaner as soon as possible.

Review: We own a FilterQueen vacuum and a Defender system, purchased in 2007 for close to $2000. The vacuum wand (model AT1100, serial #50060071, product ID AT360) has been unusable for months. We have been trying since February to have HMI Industries Inc, the maker of Filterqueen Majestic 360 Floor Cleaners, to make good on their recall. I have spoken with them multiple times and left countless messages. I am told the replacement parts will be sent, but nothing happens. I am at a loss as to what to do. Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. While we did finally receive the replacement parts and can use our vacuum again, it is quite disappointing that it took filing a complaint for them to resolve this. I feel that they should have been more proactive with the recall (we found out about it over 2yrs later and only after the vacuum no longer functioned) and more straight-forward/honest regarding the replacements. However, I appreciate your assistance and am very glad to have a usable machine again!

Review: months ago (not sure exactly but at least 6 months ago) I requested repairs on my Filterqueen Majestic 360 vacuum cleaner. The salesman came out to replace a part on it but I also found out there was a safety recall. I was told by someone at the company that they would send out a replacement part and I could send the old faulty part back. I never got anything... I waited and waited. Eventually, I called back and couldn't get in touch with anyone. Just a recording. A couple months back the part in question stopped working completely... still no replacement. I've called repeatedly trying to get help... I only get a recording and no one calls me back. We paid thousands of dollars for this, way too much unfortunately and it was supposed to have a lifetime warranty. Whats the purpose of a safety recall if I can't get it taken care of? So frustrating! The salesman took my old vacuum cleaner which was working perfectly fine. Wished now I'd told the salesman to get lost and kept my old reliable vacuum cleaner.Desired Settlement: I can get the recalled replacement part or they can give me my money back for this vacuum cleaner.
