Revdex.com spoke to Hal at the business and the following was relayed: There were two contracts, the first was for approx. $6,200 and the second included the flooring and was for approximately $12,000. About 3/4 into the job the customer wanted to change the heating from baseboard to radiant heating. The contract was verbally changed and agreed as the cost was approximately $4,000 more. The customer still owed $1,450 from the original contract and then paid a little over half of the additional $4,000 for the heating change. I also purchased and installed 31 plates at $25 each that I never got paid for. The customer still owes me approximately $4,000 which I have not pursued. The job was not completed, approximately 10-15 % of the job was left that I was willing to finish but customer hired someone else. Hal stated that he is going to send documentation this week that includes all payments received and copy of inspection.

worked.  The plumbing was examined under pressure by the building inspector and passed inspection.  Then Mr. [redacted] called me and complained it leaked.  He wanted me to fix leaks a few days later on a Saturday.  I contacted him several times to let him know I wasn’t available that Saturday, that I would be glad to fix the claimed leaks the Friday before or the Monday after that Saturday or another time convenient for him.  Instead of scheduling a time when I could fix the claimed leaks, Mr. [redacted] ignored me and brought in another plumber to finish the job that changed after I was hired.  While the work was in progress, Mr. [redacted] decided he wanted radiant heat instead of baseboard heat.  Material for radiant heat is much more expensive than baseboard heat.  My material supplier tells me Mr. [redacted] tried to order material for radiant heat and charge it to my account but they wouldn’t let him get away with it.  He still owes me over $3,000.  I did quality work for Mr. [redacted].

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Revdex.com spoke to consumer and the following was relayed: The first contract was paid in full with two checks, each for $3,100 totaling $6,200. There was no balance due. He did not put the water cut-off switch when he left and he did not put a vent in the basement as he was supposed to per our contract. I had to have another contractor put the plates in. I paid him both contracts in full and two cash payments, the $2,000 down payment for the flooring and an additional $2,600 cash payment. I am willing to settle for $4500. In the end I have lost a lot more than what Harold peters is willing to admit.
