Dishonest business practices. Told me they would run my credit minimally. Told me 3 times. Was ran over 8 hard hits on my credit. When I asked them to remove those hits. They threatened to call the authorities on me if I filed a complaint. They literally threatened me with the police.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: all it says is they will look into it and get back to you. That is not a resolution or an appropriate response. I have included the picture of them threatening to call the authorities on me if I filed a complaint with you. And it's showing on the to Credit Agencies six different inquiries That's not including the third agency that has some but I don't have screenshots of because I haven't paid to see that. They responded back with there was only three but that is not true. They are the only car dealership I have been to since October of 2018 and the only company I have authorized to run my credit in the last year

Sincerely

I put money down on a car here, and was approved by the bank for the financing. I had the car 31 days. It turns out, they did not include the taxes in the amount of the payment, so the bank went back on the approval. I have since changed jobs and no place will approve financing due to short work history. I had to take the car back to them since they could not get me financed, and they are charging me for the mileage I put on the car while I had it !! This is crap.

On February 8; 2020, I went in to purchase a Tellurude they had in stock. I was told by a manager that it was mandatory that I buy an OPTIONAL protection package for $1295. While walking out, the salesman under his breath to me said he could get it waived. After shopping around and not finding what I wanted elsewhere, I called back later that day (which took 6 calls to reach anyone) to inquire about purchasing the car if they indeed waived the plan, the same salesman said that could not waive the optional plan. SHADY business is all I can say. Do not do business with this dealership!

We were told when we bought the vehicle from them that any charges from our lease would be paid for by the dealership. After we got the bill we contacted them, the salesman and finance manager no longer worked there. The only thing that was offered to us was free car washes for the life of the vehicle, and we live 2 hours away and that doesnt cover the $725.00 bill that is owed. No one will talk to us, and most recently hung up on when I called to ask to speak to someone. We are now in collections over this bill when we shouldn't be, and should've been taken care of by the dealership as promised.

H W Kia of West County Response • Dec 19, 2019

We will be willing to pay for 1/3 of the bill. If you have something in writing that would also help . Please let me know

Thx

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I tried contacting the business after getting their response, I spoke with Kelley, and she claimed she couldn't speak with me because I had filed a complaint with the Revdex.com. She was unaware of getting anything from anyone in the company on how to proceed. She said she would check on it and call me back. I need Darren to contact me in regards to this situation.

H W Kia of West County Response • Jan 06, 2020

We will be happy to pay 1/3 of the bill . If your paperwork says that we agreed to pay the balance we will do that also. Please let us knnow

Thx

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Paying a 1/3 of the bill is ok with me. The total bill was $724.39. I appreciate the timely response. I hope to receive a check from you soon to be able to put towards this bill.

I traded my leased KIA OPTIMA in to this dealership on 10/21/19. They were supposed to pay off my residual value in full. I was promised by *** OGLE and ***, the sales manager, who we were told resigned because he found out he was going to be fired, that my car would be paid off in full and I wouldn't owe ANYTHING to KIA. No mileage or disposition fee. It is now 11/18/19 and my car is still not paid off and I have an $1800 bill from KIA for mileage and a disposition fee. My car has been for sale on their website for about two weeks, even though it's STILL not paid off. I have gotten the run around time and again from this dealership. *** is mysteriously never there. After several times trying to reach these people *** OGLE finally called me on Monday, November 11th, stating everything would be resolved on Wednesday, November 13th. It is now 5 days later and NOTHING has been resolved. Not only did all of this occur but the trade in value we agreed on is not what was placed in the contract. They rolled almost $1200 in for the trade in of my previous vehicle when we agreed on $225 is all that would be rolled in. I was also told by *** OGLE that this would be resolved last Wednesday and a check would be cut for the difference. That was also not done. Other people have commented in reviews that this has happened to them as well. People's credit has been ruined due to their poor management. I called and spoke with the title manager, ***, today and she told me she had called KIA this morning in regards to 6 other cases of this, but would call back on mine. My mother, who purchased the new vehicle that they rolled the $1200 from my loan into, has 2 different sets of paperwork that show different amounts of what she owes. They added a $2,000 service contract to the contract without her knowledge. She requested them to take it off so she signed the paperwork and then received something in the mail and they added the $2,000 back to it. She can't get plates on her vehicle because her paperwork is incorrect, which was acknowledged by both the title manager and *** OGLE(in a voicemail which was sent to KIA corporate). Her temp tags are up tomorrow and she has no way of getting plates for her vehicle. My mother went down there last Wednesday, per *** OGLE's request, and they didn't do one thing they promised they would do via text message or voicemail. They told her that her paperwork was 'locked up' and they couldn't get to it. After they made her drive almost an hour to get there.

Please free to give me a call and discuss

On August 8, 2019 my boyfriend and I traded in our Malibu for a Kia Sorento.. By the beginning of September we realize that the Malibu was never paid off so now we both have a late payment on our credit. On September 4th I got a call saying they needed more paychecks stubs, So I sent them in. The next day on September 5 our credit was ran again.I received another call on September 13 saying they needed more paycheck stubs. So I sent in more. On September 23 our credit was ran again. We then received something in the mail saying that there was another late payment on the Malibu. Which means it was never paid off. I tried calling up there to get a hold of somebody to see what was going on and everybody was giving me the runaround. I was finally told that there was a typo on our last contract and that I had to re-sign the new one. That I would get a call when to come in to sign it. I never got a call back on when to go in. On October 3 we ended up going up to HW Kia even though they have not called us. We we’re told we’d be signing the papers in 20minutes. But after almost an hour and a half (we had to send more paycheck stubs and show proof of residency even though we already did that) we finally signed the papers. We were told that a check would be sent to the bank that the Malibu was financed through to pay it off on 10/7 or 10/8. So we thought everything was finished. On October 10 our credit was ran again. I checked our credit in the Malibu still has not been paid off so now we have a third missed payment on our credit for a car that we don’t even have possession of.

Sorry for the late response . Nick the sales mgr is no longer with us . He was working on this before he left. However we have resolved all the issues . The customer is in there new car and Happy!!

We went to purchase a Volkswagon Jetta on 07/18/19. The salesman was very nice and we agreed to buy the car as it was a necessity due to a new job. While I had issues when filling out the paperwork ( I was only ever referred to as "the lady" while my boyfriend got to be called by his name), those issues are not why I am writing this complaint, We were told that we would receive our paperwork for the car in the mail in about 2 weeks so that we could go to the DMV and pay the sales tax before our temp tags expired. Like a standard dealership would. However, after two weeks had passed, I was getting concerned that we hadn't received anything yet. I called the dealership on 08/02, and after being transferred multiple times. I had to leave a messge for a woman named ***. I then called again on 08/05 since I never got a call back. I was then informed that they didn't have the title. Something they had neglected to mention when I purchased the car. She said that they would have to apply for the title from the DMV which could takes weeks. When I asked if I would receive it in time to pay my sales tax, I was told "hopefully!" with a cheery tone which was completely useless and unhelpful. I called again 08/12/19 to check in on the status of the title since my temp tag was due to expire in 4 days and was told by *** that the issue wasn't the title, it was that my financing fell through! I told her there's no way, she argued with me that she was right. She put me on hold for a while and when she came back on, told me that she hadn't even looked at my deal and was telling me someone else's information. Completely unprofessional and scared me half to death. This *** me off because she didn't even bother to take the time to look up my information and just gave me lies. I asked if I could get a new temp tag and she assured me that I could, I just needed to talk to the sales floor manager (whose name I forget). I was transferred to him and was told that its illegal to issue a new temp tag in Missouri. Again, was lied to and given wrong information! He told me that he would figure things out and give me a call back. Later that day he did, which is the only time this place has ever kept a promise to call me. He said he talked to the DMV and they should have the tile in 3-4 buisness days. Well, now it is 08/19, I just called and they have the title (they didn't call to tell me!) but no I have to wait for the original owner to sign a lien waiver! I've already been pulled over once. This whole thing is frustrating and I do not appreciate being lied to and having important information withheld from me. This whole experience has been a headache! I wish I had never bought this car!

Hello,

To whom it may concern,

*** purchased a used vehicle from us in July of 2019. She was unable to receive the necessary paperwork to title her vehicle due to the failure of response by the person that traded in the vehicle that she purchased. This customer that traded in the vehicle that *** purchased was not able to provide her necessary paperwork in a timely manner to complete the process of the first transaction (trading in the vehicle). When this costumer did finally respond weeks later after trading the vehicle we were able to collect the necessary documents to move forward the ***s paperwork.

Thanks

We went to turn in our 2016 Kia Optima that we had been leasing. We had been told from the salesman *** and the Finance Manager *** if we bought a car that evening from them, any and all charges that might be charged to us from the Optima would be taken care of on the dealership since we bought a vehicle. We did all the paperwork, went home, happy with our purchase. A few weeks later we get a letter and a bill stating we owed over $800 to Kia. I called the dealership stating what we had talked about with *** and *** and was to let them know when, that bill if we got one, had come in and how much it was, and it would be taken care of. Come to find out neither *** nor *** do not work at the dealership anymore. Now here we are a month later, I have spoken with 2 different people, who have now seemed to just vanished into thin air, won't return calls or emails, and no one wants to help us. Kia the leasing part of it says we have to pay it obviously, or talk to the dealership. This is the second time we have been burnt by a Kia dealer, but we thought we would give it another try, I guess we have learned our lesson. I just want what we were promised, and for someone to call us back and kindly explain our options or help us with what we are promised. Poor customer service, for a place that says customer service is their number one priority!!

H W Kia of West County Response • Aug 22, 2019

claims that we owe her $880 and that 2 previous employees at this dealership told her that. Now if she has this in writing it would be on a document we call a We owe and this is just a document stating what we would owe to the customer whether it would be money or free car washes and both she and the sales manager would sign off on that. If she can provide such documentation we would be more than happy to honor it.

Customer Response • Aug 22, 2019

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I don't have this in writing because per the salesman *** and Sales Manager Paris said they were going to take care of the paperwork on their end. We did not get out of there until after closing that evening, and as it got closer to that time we were being rushed through paperwork and asked if we could come back the next day. We said no because we live 2 hours away, and they understood. Again we were reassured any and all costs that would come from the Kia Optima we returned would be taken care of on behalf of HW Kia. Now what they did with the car after left we have no idea. We would like to get this resolved as soon as possible, and stopped being ignored.

Sincerely

Customer Response • Sep 05, 2019

I am concerned with how this matter has been handled. Nothing has been resolved, and the business does nothing to keep their end of the deal and we get stuck with a bill that was promised we wouldn't get stuck with. The only thing they offered was free car washes and that was supposed to be good enough? We live 2 hours away from the dealership, they will not even answer phone calls, return messages or acknowledge that there is an issue. My husband are VERY unhappy, and this is the second time a KIA dealer has done this to us. This is an awful way to do business, and as the Revdex.com you would think you would help the consumer a little more than after 1 try with the business saying this is all we have to offer.

I bought a car there and signed all the papers told I was good to go and 1 month later was told the loan was not good. Had to start again. They gave me the paperwork to get the car licensed and then couldn't. Got new temporary tags and another 30 days have gone by and I have a bill but no new paperwork to get car licensed and they tell me not to call them anymore. Still don't have paperwork to get car licensed.

H W Kia of West County Response • Sep 05, 2019

paper work was sent fed ex on 6-27-19 *** to the address the customer provided

I was leasing a 2016 Kia, I went into the dealership on June 1st 2019 to trade in my lease and purchase a vehicle. They didn’t have the car that I wanted on the lot so they found one on another car lot. They brought it and I test drove the car. At that time I noticed issues when I tried stopping, the breaks didn’t seem secure. So I went back to the dealership and let them know about that issue. At that time they told me the breaks had rust on them. They told me they will take care of them no problem. So I agreeed and allowed them to fix that issue. I took the car home and noticed that the speedometer wasn’t working also paint was chipping on the hood and trunk of the car. So I took the car back to the dealership. They say that they fixed the speedometer but it still was not working correctly I also noticed my breaks were starting to make noise so I took the car back. This time the manager Jason had blocked me from his cellphone and had stopped taking my calls in the office. I talked to the general manager Jonathan and he reassured me that all of the issues would be taken care of. I still to this day have issues with the speedometer. But I am just too frustrated to take my car back to that dealership. Now my issue is my license plates. I was told to leave my plates on the car because since it is a lease Kia has to come out to appraise the car and I needed to leave the plates on the car and they will take care of the plates once the car is appraised. Well I have been charged taxes because someone forgot to turn the plates in to the DMV. So now this car is still registered in my name and I am still being charged taxes on something that I don’t own and never owned. I have been calling for 2 weeks and have been giving the run around no one knows what happened to the plates. The refuse to call me back. I just want this car out of my name. I called Kia consumer affairs and they told me they are not able to do anything for me. This had been a all around horrible experience. The customer service is very poor they will just stop answering your calls. And if you stop by they will pretend to be busy and make you wait hours before they acknowledge that you’re there.

H W Kia of West County Response • Jun 10, 2019

I have no record of this complaint and would like the consumer to contact me directly to discuss this.

I saw a car online that I liked, a 2011 BMW 328i and I called the sales staff and told them I would be in between 4 and 4:30 to look at it. I got there and the car wasn't ready. The manager, *** was the one I spoke to and I told him that the salesperson said it would be ready. I asked if I could speak to another salesperson and he told me I could leave if I wanted to. I didn't think that was professional. I ended up purchasing the car on 6/5/18. There were a lot of imperfections and scratches on the car so when I purchased it, we had an agreement signed that he would have the car buffed and have it fully detailed. He told me he was going to pick the car from me to do today. I called Kia and did not hear back from him. I still have not heard back from him. This is a
bad reflection on the company. I was promised they would do this.

H W Kia of West County Response • Jun 11, 2018

I tried to contact the consumer the day after her purchase and did not get a hold of her. I am going to continue to reach out to her and we plan on fully providing these services for her.

Customer Response • Jun 18, 2018

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:
He was originally supposed to pick up my car and provide these services for me. He never did. He has never called me or tried to call me. I have an answering machine and have never had any messages left. The detailing was included in what I paid for the car. We both signed paperwork where this was included. I have also never received my paperwork or title for my car (I do have a copy of the contract at least).

Sincerely

H W Kia of West County Response • Jun 27, 2018

We have made several good faith efforts in attempting to accommodate the wishes of this consumer: we have offered to deliver by hand the paperwork on her car, we offered to mail by special delivery the paperwork. We offered to pick up the car bring it back to our dealership and have it detailed. We did not get a response to that offer. We told her that if she wanted to bring the car up at her convenience, we would detail it and provide her with her paperwork. At this point, we just need to know what the customer wants and we will abide by her wishes.

Customer Response • Jul 03, 2018

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because this business response was lies. They never called. This is the second time they have lied. I bought the car June 5th and the manager was to pick up the car on the 7th. I called 2 times and no one ever called back. I had to pick up my paperwork. I have never had to do something like this before. I went there on 6/27/18 and I still had not received the paperwork. If I wouldn't have called on 6/27 I would have never received it. I called the owner on 6/28 and did not get a call back. They are unprofessional. The cost of the detailing was figured into the cost of the car and they refuse to do it so in that case they can send me a check for the cost. Going by what the manager said it is $150.

Sincerely
