Review: York was hired to repair and repaint our deck. During construction metal debris got embedded in our deck and swimming pool. This caused metal to be embedded in the deck and the pool plaster. They acknowledged this and repainted the deck, however refuse to repair our pool. We are hesitant to use our pool as it now has sharp metal embedded in it's surface.Desired Settlement: We would like our pool to be resurfaced so we can use it again.

We were hired to repair and re-coat the upper deck. The homeowner alleged metal flakes stained their pool. We have a signed punch list dated 4/22/14 that does not note the stains in the pool. Our job log does not note any complaints of rust spots in the pool. We were approached in mid May regarding the stains after our work was completed, signed off as accepted and billed at 100%. We offered a credit of $1,000 to be used at the homeowner's discretion to clean the pool. The credit was accepted. The homeowners opted for an acid wash process that did not drain the pool and did not guarantee the stains would be removed. The pool cleaning company made no note of sharp metal embedded in the surface. After being notified the stains were not removed, we made a second visit on 6/17/14. We observed staining around the pool deck (resembling fertilizer staining) and multiple large pre-existing rust stains in the pool at vents and lights. The homeowner stated they were using the pool. Due to the pre-existing stains, the small size of the stains, and the fact the homeowners were using the pool we feel a $1,000 credit is adequate.

The response provided by York Enterprises is a complete fabrication. It is a shame this company has resorted to this type of response. Doesn't anyone take personal responsibility any more?

The job is not completed until the damage to our pool is repaired.

We have a signed punch list that states our work was accepted as complete and satisfactory with no notations of the pool stains. The remaining balance for our completed work is $3,910.09. We believe the credit for repair to be fair and expect to be paid for our contracted and accepted work.
