I have been a customer of J.LZimmerman Realty for months I made a phone call a few weeks prior to today ask about how I would need to give notice for when I end my lease I was instructed that I must submit notice on the FIRST of the month (days prior to my move out date) to let them know
After deciding to no longer live in my current apartment, on Sunday, February 1st I sent an email to the address listed on their website (***@yahoo.com) letting them know just that (the office is closed on Sundays so I had no other option) Today I went into the office to let them know that I would be cancelling my lease and not renewing for April
The woman working at the counter was exceptionally rude with me She stated: "You need to give days notice on the first of the month." I explained that I did just that via email due to their office being closed on this particular first She claimed that she had never received an email from me Fortunately I was able to present the email from my phone She treated me as though I was well beneath her and not worth her time
When I asked for written confirmation that I had done the process correctly she stated "I don't do written confirmation, you have you email don't you?" which sounds like extremely shady business practice to me
At this point I was finished and felt more unwelcome than before I left the office after telling her to have a nice day, printed my email that shows the time stamp for when I sent it and also a copy of their websites "contact us" page that shows that I sent the email to the correct address I do not feel as though I should have to go to such lengths to protect myself
This is not the first unpleasant experience I have had with this individual Each time that she was working there when I paid my rent she made me feel as though I was a burden and that requesting a receipt was an unwanted chore
This particular person is *** *** I would have expected far better treatment from someone who carries the name of the company I will be letting anyone I know who is looking for a living space to avoid this company simply due to the unsatisfactory level of customer service/appreciation that is given
I must say this: *** *** is a fantastic employee as far as customer service is concerned He is very friendly, patient and kind to his guests and makes enjoyable small talk while filling out receipts and handling other issues I also had the privileged of working with *** who appears to no longer be working with the company If it had not been for these two individuals my review would be negative opposed to neutral

Active Duty Military DO NOT use Zimmerman for property management for the wright Patterson AreaThey have very poor communication
We used them for two years after we PCS'd, their rates were goodcharged 10% fee but no money down and wont charge finders fee for rentersThe checks to us were on time but we received none of the late fees if the renters were lateThe issue with Zimmerman is communicationwe've called a few times, emailed and received no responseWe received no yearly or biannual updates on the property, as far as I know they never inspected itWe didn't feel connected at all to our investment When I severed our contract with them in favor of another property management company, they billed for an HVAC service that was months prior for an amount over the agreed $limitI understand it was an emergency service but even a follow up a week later would have been acceptable, but a bill two months afterwards and only after we told them of us leaving was sketchyAdditionally the bill receipt said they needed to change the furnace filter, which is the tenants responsibility and the bill should have went to the tenantsthey brag that they are a family business, the problem is that the family isn't qualified to run the business
