I am responding to this complaint using kid gloves because of the vagrant untruths about this jobI will start at the beginning so that the truth can be compared to the complaint.I received a call for an estimate for a house move and informed the customer that our rates were as follows100/hr and
that includes two movers one truck and all moving pads dollies etcI also told her that a two bedroom move is usually in the 3-hour range with some instances depending on stairs and hallways and of course the weight of bulky itemsShe then inquired about packing and I told her it was all hourly and it would cost her more money the longer we were thereShe said it would all be ready to go and it was scheduled.The first day my movers arrived on the scene and immediately called and told me there was no way this could be done in the scheduled timeThe customer lied about what was at the house and also failed to prepare the items and was throwing everything in large garbage bags. I contacted the customer and informed her of the issue and she was upset but I told her we would have to return another day to finish because she misquoted what we were doingI even told her because she was upset I would give her a discount of $on our return day to keep her at easeMy movers then called and told me that the new place was under half the size and they were havingto plye things on top of things to make them fit.The second day my movers arrived and one of them were injured badly enough to have to go to the hospital because the customer would not stay out the way and kept telling them"Just because I'm a woman doesn't mean I can't lift things" and that is a quote.I arrived on scene and helped my movers to load and go to the other address and even called in extra movers to help unloadThe customer then told me that we would have to talk about payment and I asked her what she needed and she then informed me that she did not have enough money to pay for the rest of the moveI asked her how much she did have and she informed me she had $At $75/hr my guys had already been there six hours and I informed she had to pay that they were not there for freeShe said she didn't have the money to pay so I instructed the movers to finish unloading and then stopI did not charge her for the extra minutes and informed her that we could not finish it without payment.She then told me that my guys broke some furniture and I asked her if she could be sure because of the mess she had if it was my guysShe became very offended and I offered her one hour discount further for the supposed damage at our regular rate 100/hr and she declinedThe customer then said that it will take her a very long time to sort through all of the things because of the way she packed using garbage bags and would get back to me after she was able to sort thing outShe then paid and said I will get a hold of you and now this complaint is the first I've heard from her

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] this response has numerous lies in it The man quoted $at first, the amount of hours was not discussed The guy who got hurt, got hurt on his own accord, in which I was no where near the truck when it took place The movers then dropped my furniture, damaging it He was also working with a already injured partner, in which he told me, injured his shoulder a week prior to that day They sat for a good while, and then work very slow and insufficiently afterwards, as a result While moving on this day, the pair was asked over and over and over, to please use the protection blankets to protect the furniture Their replacements took a lengthy time to come Meanwhile they were still charging me full rate, which also my delayed the efficiency and time of the move causing less work to be accomplished for the time paid for They also literally left my furniture on Someone else patio in the elements at the new residence all night and day until the residents in which they left my furniture, complained to the property manager and then the property manager contacted me UNBELIEVABLE!!! The boss was very demanding, mean, rude, and forceful about paying him before the job was even finished on the day they returned Let me also mention that, when he came to my house, he just walked into my house while my door was opened and did not say who he was I didn’t know whether he was just a man off the street or what They also did not return on the day and time they indicated MONEY!!!, INSTEAD OF GOOD, HONEST, AND FAIR CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND PUBLIC RELATIONS, APPEARS TO BE THEIR MAIN OBJECTIVE!!!!
