agreed.Usually we don't run service calls on Saturday except in emergencies. I drove to Washington, DC just for his call, I drove 45 minutes each way to get to his house. After inspecting the unit, I told him the truth; that the unit has an un-repairable leak and cannot being fixed / patched for this particular unit.  Adding refrigerant will only patch the problem temporarily due to the leak. Nevertheless, I offered to add a service valve and refill his refrigerant for $260.00 but he declined.Not every HVAC company can service this unit, they are European designed and built China, and this is our specialty.At that point I told him that my service call cost was $130.00. I had waived the weekend rate and travel time charges. Normally this service call would have normally cost him $295.00. He then told me that it should be free!He went crazy, using bad word, asking me to f[redacted] off and get out of his house, I didn't answer at all and kept calm. He kept using bad word against me. Finally he gave me a check for $130. After I deposited the check, he placed a stop payment on this check and my bank charged me $16.00 fee as a result, I have since sent the check to a collection agency.I am not sure how he expects any service company to not charge for driving to his house on any day, much less Saturday. No service company does that and I hope you call several reputable HVAC companies in the DC area and ask them how much it would cost to simply come out to diagnose a problem. I know of no company charges $50.00. Keep in mind that initially he wanted to pay nothing, and now he pulls this $50.00 fee out of the air?And now He is asking for a refund? Did he forget that he put a stop payment on the check?I hope after carefully reviewing the facts you promptly dismiss this complaint.HAA REFRIGERATIONThanks
