Haarer Painting Company Reviews (2)

June , 2017Dear Revdex.com,l am the owner of Haarer Printing CompanyI have been in business for years and have never had a complaint filed with the Revdex.comMy apologies for not responding to the email that the Revdex.com claims was sent, however I never received an email from
youThat being said, I would like to answer the complaint. To begin; I have not worked at the ***'s home since March of this year, and have not heard from them until a day or two before receiving the first letter from the Revdex.com in JuneI received one text message from *** only.I never received any pictures from ***. I returned to the home numerous times to fix issues that they had tagged with *** notes. The last time I was there which was in March. I addressed every *** note area and left.I never heard from them since that time until the text message I received one - two days prior to receiving the letter from the Revdex.comI was not made aware by them that there were any further issues with the completion of the job.Second; l will explain the touch ups that were performedThere were touch-ups from the painting, which iscommon when painting an entire houseMany, many of the touch-ups that I performed though, were not fromanything wrong with the painting, but were needed due to many other contractors performing their trades, which I did willinglyI even repainted most of the ceilings because the home owners made the dry-waller repair areas of the ceilings after I had already painted themI also did this willinglyI returned to the house times to perform touch-ups, some of which were painting issues and many that were caused by other contractors’ workAs I said, the last time I was finished, I left and heard nothing further from themI do not want to have an unsatisfied customer, howeverholding a halogen light one foot from the surface to look for flaws is way beyond industry standard and that is what I witnessed on at least one occasion. To address cost and compensation, I need only list the Work that was performed for the ***s “Free of Charge”I re-painted more than half of the ceilings due to no fault in the painting, free of chargeI returned for multiple days of touch-ups that were not all the fault of the painter, free of chargeI painted Exterior doors that were not included in the original bid price, free of chargeThere was no upcharge for using over different colors on the homeA fact that was not revealedby the ***s to the painter when the job was bid.I did not mind performing the certain things listed above free of charge, because they were very nice people and I believe in good customer service. In closing, I regret that there were issues that I had to address in the paintingHowever, it has been months since I heard from them so naturally, I believed that everything was satisfactory.I would like to express my gratitude to the Revdex.com For giving me the opportunity to respond to these allegations and would like to add that I also have pictures of the completed job that I would be happy to submit to show the quality of the paint job.Sincerely,Kenneth H.Owner/sole Proprietor,

Dear Revdex.com,We would first like to express our gratitude to Haarer
Painting, for their response.Haarer Painting has not been to the job, since March, but we
have attempted to contact them via text message, on two separate occasionsAccording
to Haarer Painting, they did not receive the first message, but did receive the
secondThe received message was sent on May the 24thThis was
calendar days, before the claim was submitted to the Revdex.com, on
June the 6thThe second message included pictures and a question
for Haarer Painting, asking if the first message was receivedHad Haarer
Painting responded to the received message, we would not have filed the report,
with the Revdex.comAs a customer, we felt the issue was not going
to be addressed, when we did not receive a response to either message.Haarer Painting did return to the job several times, to
address concerns we had, and did this in a timely mannerWhen they returned
for the touch ups, they were willing to fix the issues created by the other
trades, even though they were told it was not necessaryThe ceiling had to be
repaired by the drywall contractor, due to several screw popsThe drywall
contractor also, sanded smooth and applied primer, to the affected areasPrior
to the drywall repair, the ceiling was not finished, since the painting touch
up process had not been startedAlso, the ceiling paint did not appear to
uniformly cover in all areas, causing the drywall to be visibleWe discussed
this issue with Haarer Painting and they remedied the issues, by applying an
additional coat of paint to the ceilingsWe are fully aware, that focusing a
halogen light on the surface, to detect flaws is way beyond the industry
standardsThis was an isolated incident and was only detected, when a hand
held flashlight was being used, during low light conditions and was not the
primary method of detecting flaws. The following four points are in response to the “Free of
Charge” section, listed in the Haarer Painting report (The comments in bold are
the statements made by Haarer Painting)I re-painted more than half of the ceilings due to no fault in the painting, free of charge. The ceiling re-painting was necessary,
regardless of the drywall repairsAs mentioned previously, the ceiling paint
was not uniformly covering the surfaceThis was discussed and the paint was
faulted, for not coveringAn additional bid was requested, for Haarer Painting
to re- paint the ceilings, using their paint of choiceWe then would address
the coverage issues, with the original paint manufacturerHaarer Painting
chose to use the provided paint and re-painted the ceilings, without an
additional labor chargeThis fixed the coverage issues and we greatly
appreciate the service.I returned for multiple days of touch-ups that were not all the fault of the painter, free of charge. We agree that not all of the touch-ups were
the fault of the painterWe appreciate the effort put forth, to fix the
issuesAll other trades aside, there were a considerable amount of touch-ups
neededIt is understandable, that touch-ups in a full new house painting are
inevitable, but as mentioned in the original report, not all were properly
addressed.I painted the exterior doors that were not included in the original bid price, free of charge. We were unaware the exterior doors were not
included, since the original bid was a verbal figure of $per square foot of
floor space, not including the paintThe total for the job was $4,and was
paid to Haarer Painting by check on 12/14/and 12/26/We asked about the
exterior doors, in the beginning phase of the job and were told they were
covered, except the front entry doorThat being said, not
all of the exterior doors were paintedThe two basement doors and the window
grid on the rear French doors were not paintedHad the doors not been
included, an additional verbal or written bid would have been welcomed. There was not upcharge for the over different colors on the homeA fact that was not revealed by the *** to the painter when the job was bid. Before any bid was verbally discussed,
Haarer Painting specifically asked if each room would be a different colorTo
the best of our knowledge, this information was provided, if there was any
miscommunication on this matter, we apologize and would have been more than
willing to discuss the additional fees associated with the color choicesAs customers of Haarer Painting, we were
disappointed with the amount of repairs needed, after the job was assumed
completeSince Haarer Painting had been on site several times, for the same
issues, we decided to make the repairs ourselvesIn hind sight, we maybe
should have contacted Haarer Painting, as soon as the issues were detected. In closing, we would like to thank the
Revdex.com, for their support in dealing with this matterWe would
also like to thank Haarer Painting, for the response to our concernsAs
previously mentioned, we attempted to contact Haarer Painting, before contact was
made with the Revdex.com. It
is not our intention to receive undue compensation, or damage the reputation of
Haarer PaintingHaarer Painting is a highly regarded and awarded painting
contractorThis is why we chose them as our painting contractorUnfortunately
the end result of our job was not what we were expecting. We have pictures of the painting issues that
we fixed or are currently working onWe would be more than willing to send
them to Haarer Painting, for verification, so they may see what we are referring
tooAt this moment in time, we would like to
put this behind us and consider this matter closedWe apologize for any
communication breakdown and inconveniences this may have caused.Sincerely,
