Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]First off I was never notified that the transmission was being sent somewhere else nor notified prior that if the work wasnt going to get done I would not receive my money back, secondly he did not say by 6, and like I said that night when I went to go get my car it was in the back of his lot in a corner completely dead, thirdly I tried contacting him while at work to notify of situation and did not get through and one of his employees kept saying he wasnt ther, fourthly my car did not get towed by the city, fifthly regardless of what my aunt said thats irrelevant but this will be taken up in the court of law because I didnt lie and I have proof/witnesse Regards, [redacted]

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO JTM FOR YEARS, I THOUGHT TOM WAS A PRETTY GOOD GUY UNTIL TODAYHE DID MY BRAKE PADS AND EVERYTHING THAT HAD TO DO WITH BRAKES, HE CHARGED ME XTRA TO HAVE THE PADS UNDER WARRANTY FROM AUTO ZONE, FOR THE LIFE OF THE CAR I ASKED WHAT WOULD I NEED TO DO TO GET NEW ONES HE SAID JUST TAKE THE OLD TO AUTO ZONE, YET WHEN I WENT TO AUTO ZONE TODAY AND THEY LOOKED UP HIS BUSINESS WE FOUND THAT THERE WAS NO WARRANTY, WHEN I CALLED HIM HE SAID ITS ONLY GOOD IF I COME TO HIM FOR THE WORK, HOWEVER I COULD HAVE PURCHASED THEM MYSELF AND NOT HAD THIS PROBLEM BUT HE SAID IT DIDNT MATTER, OH BOY WONDER HOW MANY OTHERS HE HAS SUCKERED

I have used JTM for service for years. They have worked on two high-end SUVs, a minivan, a beat-up pickup, and a sports car for me. I would never let anyone near my vehicles unless their quality was excellent. Their integrity and service have earned them my business for years to come. Every repair I have had them complete for me of greater than $500 has come back costing LESS than I was originally quoted. How many businesses would be honest enough to say they were able to repair it more easily than expected, and charge less?

In response to this customers complaint I must first say its all false. He brought his car in for a transmission rebuild. He put 400.00 down on the work. We pulled the transmission and sent it out to be rebuilt, the rebuilder called me and informed...

me that the transmission couldn't be rebuilt that the case was bad. I called the customer and told him what was going on and gave him different option he said he needed time to think about it. Five days went by and I had heard nothing so we put the old transmission back in so we could move the car out of the shop. Seven days then went by when the customer came in and said he was picking up the car. I informed him that he had to pay the labor to R&R the transmission. He then stated that since we have tools that it wasn't hard to do and he shouldn't have to pay a dime. He got loud and cussing I just wanted him out of my shop. I did give him a check for 300.00 dollars and told him to get the car off my lot by 6 pm that evening, he took the keys and said he would. This was I believe feb 20 2015. Come march 2 the car wasn't moved, and I stopped payment on the check for storage fees, and moved the car off my lot on to the street. I sent him a text and told him. The car got towed after sitting there a week. His aunt called me and said she saw the car sitting on the street so what my question is why didn't they get the car or did they and now tying to get paid. The customer lives down the street so all parties involved know the car was sitting there. This customer has called me threatening me throwing names at my employees and such. I’m not going to remove and replace a transmission for free. the only way the car could be moved was to put the old trans in. He says no work was done hmm removing a transmission seems like work to me then putting it back in so it could be moved. One other thing he was notified that the transmission would be sent out to be rebuilt because he was told the time frame for repair depends mainly on how long it takes to get the transmission rebuilt. As far as I’m concerned I’m done with this issue and I’m not paying any money he got the 300.00 he wanted, its up to him to deal with the check cashing place. He chose to cash it there. Instead of my bank which is a half mile from here.

This customer came in requesting we change his starter the vehicle was at his house and he couldn't get it here. We went to his house and after checking starter found it to be good. We put a good battery in it to get it to the shop. When the...

customer came up to shop we explained what was wrong gave him a estimate and told him he could take the new starter back. After talking to his mom they said ok replace the battery and signed the work order. The total for the repairs is the battery and labor which most of the labor was time spent on the side of the road working to get the vehicle back to the shop. We didn't charge a core charge cause we had the old battery. The customer then a week later calls and demands their old battery back and says we should have charged her our cost for the battery and basicly do the labor for free. Then they came up here and made a scene with the police and cussed me etc, The customer has contacted my parts supplier and others including posting on the neighborhood website. We told her she has every right to sue us but even the police who came out said it was a fair cost and if they didn't feel it was they shouldn't have agreed to it. I told the customer I would give her 20 dollars for the old battery she refused she said she wants a full refund I then said If I did that I would have to but the old battery in and take the new one which would leave the truck inoperable. Bottom line they wanted their truck fixed for free. As I told them they can sue us that's their right, and if they do we will counter sue because of what they have done behind the scenes that they have not reported to you. As far as we are concerned it done we offered to remedy this issue and they refused.
