I hired inspection company for my home purchase and inspector never went on roof and never went into eaves of attic to notice that there were serious roof issues and leaks. I purchased the house in good faith and then found out there were issues that I now have to pay for a new roof. I immediately contacted Habitation and was rudely dismissed and vaguely threatened by Jim T, owner. I showed through Google Earth photos take 3 years before that the roof was faulty. I hired a lawyer, *** and served a letter to Habitation. 30 days later they refused to help with new roof, offering my 359.00 back to me. It is my impression that a roof is a major reason for getting an inspection and this company was derelict in it's obligations. I would never have bought the home in this condition had I been advised that the roof was needing to be replaced. I have documentation of all claims.

I am responding to the defamatory complaint submitted by ***.She failed to heed our advise in the inspection report to have it further evaluated by a roofer. We identified several issues and recommend each time for her to have a roofer evaluate and make repairs as needed. She failed to follow our recommendations.I offered her a refund in the beginning to help her despite her situation not being our fault, she turned it down.Her attorneys letter was forwarded to insurance and to an attorney. It was determined that our inspector/company followed the standards of home inspections (not required to walk roofs, especially high ones) and that *** failed to follow our recommendations. I have the document from them verifying this as well as the inspection report telling *** to have the roof evaluated and repaired several times in the report and in the report summary.Any complaints regarding us I deem to be slanderous and defamatory.
