Hacienda Stone & Flooring, Inc. Reviews (6)

Hacienda has received this complaint #[redacted], from the Revdex.com.

There has been many attempts by Hacienda to find out how the tile was stained, myself and members of the company have made several trips to the house.

We are not simply walking away from the issue, after going back thru our...

records and dates we feel that there was something applied to the tile some point after we grouted the shower.

Hacienda was not contracted to seal shower, we do not generally do this service.

After several meetings with the customer, they finally said that they did seal the deco band that is inside the shower.

First stating that they did nothing, now with this latest information that means that they have also worked on the shower.

There has also been cleaning people hired by the [redacted] to clean the shower and glass, not knowing for sure if they have used something .

Now including the cleaning crew that brings us to three separate parties involved here.

Hacienda is still willing to help in resolving this issue by cleaning the tile , as we have done so . After cleaning two tile’s they look 98% free of any shadowing . showing the customer these results , they were still not 100% satisfied. As I have notified the [redacted] we would do so but would not guarantee the outcome.

We are willing to hear any solution’s that would resolve this matter, our record with the registrar of contractors is unblemished and there’s a reason for that.

We always take care of our responsibilities

Sincerely

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

There is a lot of going back and fourth on this issue. The last agreement with [redacted] from Hacienda was they would clean the tiles and I want them to honor this agreement. We have done nothing wrong, neither has our cleaning ladies or when we sealed the small stone decorative tiles, which I did, with a small brush one by one,  did I damage the large tiles or have any excess running on the large tiles. As well, there is not decorative tiles above where the tiles are stained.

We ask Hacienda to schedule a time to complete the cleaning of the large tiles as agreed upon. We are not going to sign for this as it is part of the warranty. I have e-mailed Hacienda and left 2 messages after their reply and have not heard anything, so apparently a third party needs to be involved. We judt do not understand why they cannot stand by what we had agreed upon.

Regards,

Totally unprofessional. Customer service was terrible. It took two months to get a quote on a small project. Also, double booked our appointment to verify materials and was late, for both appointments. It was very disappointing. Glad I tore up my contract and found another business who cares about their customers.

Review: We contracted Hacienda to refurbish our master bathroom, after several bids and negotiations. Once the job was completed, past due and with many arguments and waiting for things to be completed, we noticed a haze/stain on most of the large tiles in and outside the shower.

It was added in our final bill that we have concerns and since the contractor gave us 2 years warranty on his work, we said we would wait and see. The tiles are still stained and the contractor refuses to won up to his end of the contract. First he blamed the water, we had it tested, he then met with the tile distributor who claims it is not the tile. After our last meeting, [redacted] the contractor agreed to come today, June 16, 2014 and clean all the tiles off with a cleaner that strips the tiles. When he showed up, he informed us it is not their fault and we have added a sealer, which is not true and therefore we can split the cost of having the tiles stripped and cleaned. At this time we have not even sealed the grout around the tile, as we are waiting for this to be resolved. He continues to go back on his word and agreements. At this time this is breach of contract and if it cannot be resolved we will be taking him to court. We are at he said she said stage, however, since he was not present, nor his so called business partner for much of the work, he really does not know what was being done 100% of the time during the work installation. At out last meeting on June 11, 2104, he agreed that it was probably the sponge being used with dirty water and maybe with a sealer already on it, hence why he agreed to come to clean the tiles today. between then and today, he has changed his mind and we are back to square one. The $10000, shower does not look new and clean and we want this cleaned, stripped and the contract agreement honored.Desired Settlement: We want the tiles cleaned as agreed upon, stripped of all stains, leaving us with a clean new shower. If [redacted] cannot honor this, we will go to court for the entire $10,000.00
