Hadar 7 Days Locksmith Reviews (3)

Review: On March 4th, 2013, I contacted "7 Day Locksmith" at [redacted]. They offered me the best quote for an interior door unlocking, so I asked them to come to my home. The locksmith (whom I later learned was [redacted]) was unable to pick the lock on the bathroom door. For that matter, he was unable to provide a lockpick set, so I let him borrow mine. Once he failed, he said the only option was to break the lock. By this point, of course, I needed the door opened, and was unwilling to pay another service fee to another, presumably competent, locksmith. He broke the doorknob off with pliers, then offered to install a new one for another $50 (I declined, and replaced it for about $7 instead). The fee was $69, about $20 more than I was quoted. No written receipt or other materials were provided.I was unhappy with the service provided, so I tried to contact him again. I had significant difficulty getting anybody at the company to admit that I had, in fact, called them for service. Somebody finally said, "We might have sent that to somebody else we work with", which is how I got the contact information for Mr. [redacted] - his personal cell at (redacted). I called him, confronted him, and he angrily told me that he should have charged me more, and nobody could have done a better job. I asked for his license number, and he said he didn't remember it and was out of town, but I could call back the next week.Unfortunately, it took me until today to find his number again. I called, and it's now a young woman's cell phone.Researching this further, it appears that this is part of a nationwide scam. [redacted] (related to [redacted]?) and [redacted] (related to [redacted] 7 Day Locksmith?) are under indictment in several states for similar scams, false marketing, fraud, etc. I tried to verify their business tax information with the City of San Diego, but they do not have a business tax license.A brief Internet search for "[redacted] and [redacted]" should be unsettling yet informative.Desired Settlement: Refund, revocation of locksmith license. I've already filed a complaint with the California DCA/BSIS.

Review: They charged me $99 to use a blood pressure type device to pry the door open enough to get a rod in between the door and door jam. Inserted the rod and tripped the lock which took about one minute. The locksmith approached the car with only those two items. The locksmith started writing out the bill with out even looking at the car. The web site said $19 for service call, and starting at $25 for unlocking the car. When I contacted the company about the charge they said the additional money was for insurance. And offered to refund the the $19 service charge. I believe the company used deceptive advertising and should have stated there would be an additional charge for insurance.Desired Settlement: I believe that the company should refund $55 the difference between the $44 it should have cost and the $99 I was charged.

Very polite young man, came over pretty quickly and got the job done impressively fast. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes.
