Thermal Quality Windows
I purchased replacement windows through "Thermal Quality Windows" based in Broomall, PA. Within one year, all had failed seals..
When I reported this to Thermal Quality Windows, I was told that the manufacturer Accu-Weld had gone out of business!

My new replacement windows now were
1. No longer energy efficient
2. Pose a financial burden on me when I sell my home.

I'm not understanding how a local company with a previously good reputation can get away with taking this position!
I know there were thousands And more likely tens of thousands of families who were sold a very expensive, but faulty product.

More troubling is the fact that Thermal Quality Windows (who chose Accu-Weld as their supplier) takes no personal responsibility!

When I purchased my new replacement windows from them, & all had failed seals one-year later, I would have thought any reputable company, woyld have stood behind their product as well as the future reputation of their company. Thermal Quality Windows did not!

For this reason I will NEVER recommend them to anyone I know & will tell them exactly why they should run in the other direction when they decide to have "energy efficient replacement windows installed in their home!

My next communication will be with the Better Business Bureau, as well as looking into a class action suit against Thermal quality windows, if one has not already been put into place!

Review: In early 2009, we purchased 22 windows from Medallion Windows, manufacturer Accu Weld (now Haddon Windows). Over the past year, we have noticed that 65% or more of our windows appear to have broken seals and have developed a rainbow colored film (argon gas leak). After speaking with Medallion we were told to contact the manufacturer Haddon windows to have the windows repaired. We contacted Haddon Windows several times only to be told that Accu-Weld was no longer in business and that Haddon windows would not honor our warranty. . After reviewing various online information about the Haddon Windows & Accu-Weld relationship, I discovered that the Accu Weld company was sold to Haddon WIndows in early 2009 - which was prior to the delivery/installation of our windows in April/May 2009 which would indicate to me that we actually purchased the windows from Haddon Windows company and not Accu Weld. We believe that the Haddon/ Accu Weld company should stand behind their product and be held accountable to repair and/or replace our damaged windows.Desired Settlement: Repair and/or replacement of our defective windows.

Review: I purchased 12 windows from this company in July 2010. By Sept 2012 9 of them were bad. It seems the gas between the pains broke and caused a foggy film in the window. They are not following their end of the warranty. The company told us they no longer handle windows, they are focused on doors and their is nothing they can do.Desired Settlement: Thie company has an ethical responsibility to honor the warranty.
