First, the agreement was not for $for "whatever it takes" to get a permitThe $was a retainer to get startedThat is what I stated to customer on the phoneI have a witness to that conversationI said "'send me all the correspondence from codes and $and I'll get started"I have
worked for this customer before on this same projedrew up plans for the project as he described it at the timeApparently he did not do what we drew upI visited the site three timesThere were many structural issues that customer did not mention, but that would need to be addressed to get a permitIn an effort to keep the engineering costs to minimum, I did hand drawn drawings of the required repairs and gave four stamped copies to customerCustomer took them to the Code Guy who refused them saying he couldn't read themI then gave the same copies to a CAD technician who was able to read them with no input from me and he produced a set of CAD drawings which I took to the code officer and gave him one stamped copyThe code guy went on about this barn needing a bathroom and I leftI called the customer and said he could pick up the remaining copies at his convenienceIn the meantime, the customer received our invoice for the work and refused to pay anything more than the $retainerI don't know specifics, but apparently he "peed off" the code officer, his boss, and his boss's boss, the Mayor and other Village OfficialsSee attached newspaper articleThe customer has been supplied with stamped copies of plansHe refused to pay on our invoice so I refused to do any more workSincerely, Thomas Hager P.E

On or about January I sent a detailed response to your requestI enclose copies of that materialAs stated, the agreement was verbalI have a witness to the phone conversation and I have office notations made at the time indicating the $was an initial retainerAs before I await a response from Revdex.comSincerely, Thomas Hager P.E

First, the agreement was not for $500 for "whatever it takes" to get a permit. The $500 was a retainer to get started. That is what I stated to customer on the phone. I have a witness to that conversation. I said "'send me all the correspondence from codes and $500 and I'll get started". I have...

worked for this customer before on this same project-we drew up plans for the project as he described it at the time. Apparently he did not do what we drew up. I visited the site three times. There were many structural issues that customer did not mention, but that would need to be addressed to get a permit. In an effort to keep the engineering costs to minimum, I did hand drawn drawings of the required repairs and gave four stamped copies to customer. Customer took them to the Code Guy who refused them saying he couldn't read them. I then gave the same copies to a CAD technician who was able to read them with no input from me and he produced a set of CAD drawings which I took to the code officer and gave him one stamped copy. The code guy went on about this barn needing a bathroom and I left. I called the customer and said he could pick up the remaining copies at his convenience. In the meantime, the customer received our invoice for the work and refused to pay anything more than the $500 retainer. I don't know specifics, but apparently he "peed off" the code officer, his boss, and his boss's boss, the Mayor and other Village Officials. See attached newspaper article. The customer has been supplied with 5 stamped copies of plans. He refused to pay on our invoice so I refused to do any more work. Sincerely, Thomas Hager P.E.

On or about January 2 I sent a detailed response to your request. I enclose copies of that material. As stated, the agreement was verbal. I have a witness to the phone conversation and I have office notations made at the time indicating the $500 was an initial retainer. As before I await a response from Revdex.com. Sincerely, Thomas Hager P.E.
