This letter is in response to Mr*** *** complaint regarding a 50-gallon A.OSmith Model #GVR(Serial #1204AO18490) water heater that was installed by Hagerman Plumbing and Heating on November 15, Please note, you have a different Model number listed on his complaint. As per the
local Plumbing Inspector's requirement to get the water heater to pass the inspection, on November 26, the Plumbing Inspector wanted us to lower the relief line outside to 4" off of the ground, which We did.The water heater that Hagerman Plumbing and Heating furnished, was installed according to the State Plumbing code and was in fact inspected and passed by the State Plumbing Inspector. The water heater Hagerman Plumbing and Heating installed on November 15, has a manufacturer's warranty of six (6) yearsThe warranty is an A.OSmith warranty and not a Hagerman Plumbing and Heating warrantyHowever, Hagerman Plumbing and Heating does provide a labor warranty of one (1) year only from the date of the installation, which was November 15, and ending on November 15, 2013.On January 21, 2014, Mr*** phoned and said he had a leak at the water heater on topWe checked the water heater and tightened the unions on top of the water heater (we did not charge Mr*** any labor for this service call). On February 28, 2014, Mr*** phoned and said he was not getting enough hot waterWe replaced a dip tube in the water heaterAgain, we did not charge Mr*** for a service call or for the dip tube.On February 24, 2015, Mr*** phoned and said he did not have much hot waterWe found the water heater working as it should upon arrivalWe checked the controls and the dip tube and it was okayWe did charge Mr*** for a service call but it was only at half of our service call rate,On May 5, 2015, Mr*** phoned and was upset that we sent him an invoice for the labor to check the water heater on February 24, Mr*** stated he has not had much hot water since it was installed November 15, Mr*** stated that he was just going to take Hagerman Plumbing and Heating to small claims to get his money backHe was then asked why he had not called to report any problems with the water heater since February of if it was not working so that we could check itAs Mr*** was less than polite or reasonable, he was told that someone would call him back but he said "no"He said he would callbackMr*** phoned back later in the day and talked with the owner *** ***, *** offered to send a plumber to check the water heater or take the $off of his account but Mr*** told him noMr*** said all he wanted was a new water heater as he was claiming that upon the initial installation that the water heater had been dropped*** Hagerman told Mr*** that he could not just give him a water heater as the water heater was already 2-1/years oldMr*** got unreasonable and hung up on *** ***Mr*** phoned back and threatened *** ***It was decided that Hagerman Plumbing would no longer work for Mr*** and the service call for $was written off of his account. On September 25, 2017, Mr*** phoned for service on his water heater. On September 27, 2017, Mr*** phoned wanting to know if we were coming to check his water heaterHe was told that his account had been flagged and due to his past comments, we felt that he might be better off calling another plumbing company to check his water heater and they would be able to take care of issue that may be warranty.*** ***

Regards,
[redacted]The water heater leaked from the day it was installed, It was dropped and dented which your plumbers tried to cover up, yes , the fittings were tightened and yes the dip tube was replaced, but it was never fixed, I also agree that this has went on for years. I do believe I did have a heated convesrsation with [redacted] in which I was told I could get a pipe over the head. The fact is you installed a damaged water heater that another plumber has honored the warranty on, way to stand behind your work, apparently you needed the money more than I did. Hopefully this review will save others from the I have your money, sorry about your luck work ethic you have embraced.
