This customer, Mr [redacted] contacted our office asking for programming codes for the security equipment in his home that are not shared The codes he asked for are proprietary and company wide (ie across all our customer base) We were subsequently notified that Mr [redacted] had replaced his security system and wanted to cancel his contracted service with our firmMr [redacted] had an ANNUALLY renewing contract that as a courtesy was billed quarterly The contract was NOT at an anniversary date (thus not allowing it to be cancelled) This was explained to Mr [redacted] and for that reason he was not owed a refund Mr [redacted] would have been able to cancel his monitoring contract at the end of the period for which he paid This was explained to him The Revdex.com complaint that has arisen evidences Mr [redacted] non-acceptance of these facts Having said all of this, and given the some years of history Mr [redacted] , his wife, and his children have had w/ my wife and in-laws who still live on the same court as Mr [redacted] , I instructed my staff to refund the amount claimed ($85.48) This was done via check # [redacted] dated 1/24/ Our company will absorb the amount paid to the central station for the annual monitoring service Our bank shows this check as having been cashed and cleared on 2/7/
