In reference to 10#***We were called on 12-4-for a boiler that would not stay lit Our tech cleaned pilot, lit pilot & tested gas valve operation numerous times to see if it would fail Gas valve lit each time Tech told customer if problem persisted, they may have to
replace gas valve We do not like to replace parts unless they fail for us Customer claims that gas valve was left on pilot If so we would have gladly went back Customer claims to have called & complained & was told that ***, who is myself told her that "I would think about it" Personally "***" never even spoke to customer & if so I would have taken care of it Work was done on 12-4-& I am being notified of this issue on 3-18-2015, which is approx1/months after service call I certainly don't understand the delay!! To summerize, if customer would have called when problem existed I would have taken care of issue, but after 1/months I don't feel that there was a problem Our minimum rate is $80.00.*** ***3-24-

They never fixed the leak. Bottom line, I hired them to find and fix a leak which they never found or fixed

I am rejecting this response because:I signed the work order because I was told the leak was fixed. I was never advised that it was the tile and caulking leaking. If they had detected leaking tile then tell the homeowner where the leak is coming from which they never did. I as the homeowner would get the tile fixed and would not have agreed to fixing a dry vent, drain and faucet.  That's what I was looking for, an answer to the leak. If they believed it was tile then why replace things that would need to be torn out to repair the leaking tile?  As stated, it's a 40 yr old shower, if it has leaking tile one would tear it out and replace the faucet, shower pan and drain at the same time.  In doing so, I have replaced the faucet and the drain which they installed.   So in reality, everything they did is now replaced other than the dry vent which did not have anything to do with a water leak. So now I am stuck with a bill of over $500. for work that did not need to be performed. They should have advised me in the very beginning that the shower needs replacement. That would have been the end of story.  This all goes back to my original complaint, if they found the leak first, then nothing would have needed replacement by them.

likely to be part of leak problem. We do not do tile repair. Also found a cracked vent pipe, (potential leak, both water & sewer gas) repaired vent pipe. Also found a crack on shower drain f[redacted]e which we replaced. These are 3 things that needed to be replaced to prevent shower leak. Shower continued to leak, owner tested tile & caulking finding it to leak as we originally advised. All of our work is totally justified in looking for a shower leak.
Also notice customer signature on work order stating work was satisfactorily performed. We adjusted bill for 1 hour labor prior to his complaint to Revdex.com. Do not feel any other adjustments will be made. As of today he has paid us nothing. Work was done on 8-13-2014.

       Recap-[redacted] was the plumber that was there. He has talked to [redacted] while he was at the job and on 
       the phone.
       On arrival first trip, [redacted] had already had a handyman caulk tile, silicone shower drain
      Our Plumber removed shower valve escutcheon to make sure there was no leaks in wall, repaired 
      shower valve with new cartridge, repaired cracked vent that [redacted] saw
      [redacted] brought to our attention that shower drain had a cracked flange & approved installation of a 
      brass shower drain.
      We feel we did what was.asked of us. We repaired the plumbing problems. We do not do shower tile 
      problems. We have adjusted the bill as far as we feel we can.
