Review: Received a certificate to have my hair done by Kimberly. I have never been to this salon in the past and waa looking forward to having my hair done. My hard is burnt by the product which I had to pay 20 dollars for product and my hair is over processed and she did not color my whole head. I did go to my regular salon and she ruined my hair and did not color all of my head. She did not like the fact I had a certificate from [redacted] and she stated the monies are not real and she treated me different than her regular clients because they pay her in real cash., I did tip her only to find out that the damage to hair can not be fixed for 8 weeks. I am quite upset with burned out over processed blonde hair and my daughter is quite upset how my hair turned out. My certificate was worth 160.00 dollars and did even get my head colored only the top of my hair I pictures to what was not done, I would like my 35.00 dollars back for the product I paid for and the tip I should have not given her.Desired Settlement: Would like my 35.00 dollars back since my hair ruined and a apology for a terrible color job.

April 7th 2013 at 10am I saw this client for the first time. I see today she has now just filed today, 3 weeks later! I haven’t received any phone call from the complainant after the service , in fact, I texted to apologize a couple of days later stating that I had the wrong area code for her number (after filling out client card) and heard nothing!

I use the only certified organic color line and when I am using lighter I am very careful to keep the porosity of the hair to a minimum.

In our consultation I never promised to do her whole head. I charge 130.00 + for full head highlights, cut is an additional $60.00 = $190.00

As the complainant has stated, she had a barter certificate in which was gifted to her for $160.00 for color/highlight, cut and blow dry style. I let each person know before booking an appointment that I charge $20.00 on top of any gratuity for my services, as I have to pay $20.00 for them to come to see me through this program. My time with the complainant was approximately 2 hours and the additional $15.00 for a tip did not begin to pay for that time. I do not owe her anything, if she felt she was wronged, she should have contacted me. I have heard nothing of this issue till now and stand by my work.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

In regards to [redacted] response, I did not contact her until I received another opinion about my hair. I was very upset over the text message and the way I was treated, it was unprofessional and I felt belittled. I should have received a proper phone call and/or offer to reschedule, not a response through a text message or a cynical response when she finally arrived to the appointment an hour later than it was scheduled. I clearly said during our consultation that I wanted my whole head highlighted like my root color, not blonde. Even though she claims to use a organic color line, it still burned my scalp and my hair is very over processed. No matter if it is organic or not, it can still become over processed and my scalp was burning from the amount of time it was left in my hair. I also did not want to be blonde. I wanted a light caramel color, which I did not receive. I was not promised that my whole head would be done, which is sad since I was willing to pay for the amount over my certificate and that she should have directly told me in our consultation that she was not going to! Attached is a photo from another professional that the back of my hair was uncolored which I did not want, which means she only did partial highlights which I did not want and from the picture you can see that the hair above was not colored to my roots. I paid the gratuity fee and then gave her $15 since she made me feel horrible throughout the appointment and I felt bad for making her come in, which no one should ever feel since it is her job to make me feel good about myself. She did not deserve any more than that for an extra tip. I was also charged for product which I did not know ahead of time or else I would have told her not to put any in. My hair is now damaged and will have to naturally repair itself, which will take 8 weeks. I also have to pay another professional to fix what she did. I do not doubt that she does not help out in her community or work hard for other clients that she likes. I was just obviously a client who she did not like, who had a certificate and not cash, and who she felt was a waste of her time. If she did what I asked, did not over process my hair, damage my scalp, forewarned me of charges, and treated me differently then I would be satisfied and would recommend her services.

I don't understand why this person is trying to present me in this light. It is horrific. I did over 3,000 worth of business on Itex last year and approx $1,000 so far this year. If you think about $160.00 service amount = $3,000 last year is A LOT of people that I tended to and continue to tend to. INCLUDING, the persons daughter that gave her the certificate!!! When she called me, it is true, our schedules were not matching and had a strange feeling about her because usually my appointment are not that hard to schedule, being on Itex or NOT. The second time she called she mentioned that her 50th bday was coming up and she was WAY overdue, so I made sure we found a time before her bday!If you are sitting there with your head burning to the the point of hurting your scalp, you would not be able to sit there and carry on the pleasant conversations that we had. In our discussions, I learned of her previous employer that was so awful to her and that her last stylist had raised the prices on her significantly (which usually means the stylist is trying to get rid of a person). I and am starting to wonder if she is a person that causes trouble! By the way, at the end of our appointment, I gave her a hug and wished her a Happy Birthday!As far as being late to the appointment, I agree that I was 20 minutes MAX late for the appointment as it was my fault that I had her area code incorrect on my books so when I texted to confirm her appointment there was no response, I also texted the morning of the appointment asking to please contact me asap if she was planning on making the appointment. I heard nothing because again I had the wrong area code. She told me that sometimes her texts don't come through on her phone, but, after she left I check against her client card to double check and what I had written down I realized was incorrect, and at that time sent her a text apologizing for not having the correct area code and wished her a great day! How can you be offended by a text such as that?She NEVER offered more money for a full...why wouldn't I take it? I would have made more money for the appointment??BOTTOM LINE....IF SOMETHING DOESN'T MAKE SENSE IT JUST ISNT TRUE!!!
