Hair Construction & Remodeling Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***I do not agree with Chris Hair's views at all As predicted, he is blaming the customer So rather than get into a war of words, I'd rather submit the attached video as evidence of his subpar "work" Please take a look and ask yourselves - what would you do if this was your home? Would you ask this man to fix his mistakes (which there are many by the way).Regards,
*** ***

was to start work on the [redacted] residents on June 6th 2016. Prior to the start of the job we met to discuss the details of the work to be completed and signed a written detailed contract of the work to be performed at the residence of [redacted] and [redacted]. At the start of the job we had to...

negotiate a price difference to accommodate their budget of the work to be performed due to their financial budget. The written contract clearly stated the customer supplies all materials prior to start of job. A material list of materials was supplied to the customer as to what materials they needed to obtain to complete the job. They started off our contract by delaying it a few days due to "personal problems".  The job then got off to a slow start  due to the fact of the customers indecisiveness of the Bathroom Design & materials that was supposed to already be purchased prior to the start of the job, therefore delaying the work I was to perform. The [redacted]'s decided that they where going to make a trip to Lowes everyday after being asked repeatedly to have the material on site, further delaying the completion of the work process. After I started the demolition of there bathroom  Mrs. [redacted]  indecisiveness changed her design of the shower 3 times making us take down and redo it to accommodate her I performed this work with no complaints at no extra charge. Noting this is clearly not in the contract we agreed upon. After demolition of bathroom Mrs. [redacted]i decided to install purple moisture resistant drywall and texture her bathroom ceiling to match the existing ceiling. Once again I performed this work at no additional cost (clearly not in the written contract) delaying my time in the completion of their bathroom. Then due to their indecisiveness and the opinion of the pro desk at Lowes they decided to use the Kerdi shower system instead of the Hardi Shower system that was agreed upon in the contract I clearly stated to the [redacted]'s that I have not used the Kerdi system before but I would be happy to accommodate them an install this system. I went about performing the work at no additional cost that was clearly not in the contract to accommodate my customer noting that material was still being supplied on a daily basis delaying the work I was to perform, often having to set an wait on materials to actually perform work on the bathroom. It finally came down to me completing the work I had materials for being 90% done when once again the [redacted]'s on a material trip talked to "the guys at the Pro Desk at Lowes" and decided they didn't like the larger Ceramic Bathroom tiles that the [redacted]'s purchased and wanted installed in there shower on the floor. It was then stated to me that  they were unsatisfied with the work I performed and I was to redo the whole shower free of charge. Prior to this the [redacted]'s were  delighted by the work I performed never complaining about the work I performed. This job was a Havoc from the start. Their uncanny indecisiveness voided the contract multiple times. I clearly went out of bounds to satisfy my customer, but they could never make up their minds and this delayed the work to be performed for several days. I showed up to the job site many other days to wait on material. The [redacted]'s decided they where going on vacation and then wanted to complain because it was " taking to long" to complete their Bathroom. As I stated the bathroom was 90% complete; I was just waiting to finish the floor and put the vanity's in when they wanted us to again start over. Noting they still didn't have there bath tub or shower doors to be installed. We again supplied them with the necessary materials list to complete the job including these items when we were informed that the [redacted]'s wanted to void our contract by bringing in another contractor to overlook our work and give his opinion on the shower. I made many accommodations to satisfy the [redacted]'s on their bathroom project free of charge performing work that as not in the contract that was signed and agreed upon. I have taken a huge loss by doing this job and futher decided it would be better to walk away then argue with a customer that has voided the contract multiple times .The [redacted]'s indecisiveness in their bathroom and their inability to provide the necessary materials to complete the job in a timely fashion was affecting the ability to complete their bathroom; Noting their legal void of the written agreed upon contract prior to start of job. I've attempted to communicate with the [redacted]'s, but they want work done for nothing when the work I performed the were delighted with prior to others opinions and their indecisiveness to decide on what they want. I've informed them that they have voided the contract in multiple ways causing me to loose $2,120.94 that was owed to me. I can provide pictures of the work completed and written invoices of the balance owed to me. Due to the Indecisiveness of the [redacted]'s I've decide to take the loss. I wish them nothing but the best, and the work I performed was above and beyond the necessary requirements of the contract provided and agreed upon.
