We broke down in Flagstaff in May of I was there for weeks for the repairs I called Desert Autoplex and they said "you signed the letter" and they were not responsible We bought the motorhome the Friday after Thanksgiving in It will be three years this coming Thanksgiving So actually we have only owned it for yrs and months We have had problems with motor home from first month on They did not advise us of rust problem on the undercarriage at all Every mechanic who has repaired this RV has stated it was due to "rust" We would be happy to get letters from all mechanics who have worked on this vehicle Now we are unable to use heater and air conditioner because of the mold and electrical damage that occurred prior to our purchase (we have letter from last mechanic stating this)All the time we have had this coach our lives and health have been at risk We do not want to pay another years on a RV that we cannot useHow would you like to be going through the mountains with your grandchildren and lose power and air to your RV? Pretty scarry I will be happy for anyone from Revdex.com to check out the condition of this RV Or we can send pictures The last mechanic that replaced the air dryer and two back air tanks said this coach was very unsafe because the propane tank is rusted badly and the air tanks that hold the air for the unit is all rusted Whole undercarriage is beyond repair with rust

Desert Autoplex received the unit 11/4/to begin diagnostics then submit for warranty authorization after diagnosis (generally 1-days to submit for auth on non-DAP units) Our policy is not to hold unitsWe do not have the space to hold, or store units at our facilityThe requested items including battery charge issues(1-days for proper diag), chassis furniture issues (not [redacted] River), warped cabinetry (6-week average lead time on cabinetry), and other slow to procure componentsThe RV should not have remained at our facility during the parts order period, on that I will agreeThis particular unit however was stored inside our service facility for the entire length of stay, we do not have rodent issues inside our shop, the photographic evidence the customer claims to indicate we have a rodent issue was a small mouse trap that is at the opposite end of our facility away from the service bays and is precautionary outside our shipping and receiving area to prevent any intrusion from vermin hitching a ride on transported goodsThis has not happened but once, but a trap is inexpensive insurance As far as timing goes, it is unfortunate that the check engine light came on after leaving our facilityMy expectation of origination of the intruder would be the near six months that the customer had possession of his unit at his home which borders a very large wildland area.We did not complete repairs, this is trueWe cancelled our parts order on the long lead time parts that we had on order when we received information on the customers dissatisfactionWe have never had any rodent damage on any stock or customer units, some stock inventory has remained on the lot nearly a year, and we have never had to make any rodent related repairsI assure you that if we had a known issue with rodents like this, I would have done what is right and addressed the repairs for the customerBrian D [redacted] Parts & Service Director Desert Autoplex RV

That is a down right lie as when the shipping company was there to pick up the truck they had the dealer sign a bill of lading showing the damage on the truck.and they were given a copy and so was Iso if the shipping company caused the damage why did the dealer sign the bill of lading showing that the truck had damage.if there was no damage at the time of pick upthen they should not have signed itbut they did and by doing that they agreed on what the bill of lading states

Mr*** response is inadequate and unacceptable. This response supports the Revdex.com rating of "F" for this company. His response, in fact, supports my assertion that the company failed to provide appropriate service and that the unit was in their possession when rodent damage took place causing $damage to my vehicle.A summary of the problems with the Deseret Autoplex response:-Mr*** claims "our policy is not to hold units", then goes on to acknowledge that Desert Aoutoplex held the unit on their premises for over two months. -He claims that my unit was stored "inside our sevice facility" but conveniently fails to say that the facility has large retractable doors that are open to the outdoors, effectively making the facility equivalent to being outdoors and open to rodents that he acknowledges have been seen at the facility.-He claims the check engine light came on "after leaving the facility"--no, the light came on at the facility and I notified my service representative, Tom N*** before leaving the parking lot.-Mr*** researched my home address looking for an excuse to blame me for the damage. This was a waste of time because my motorhome was not stored at my home at any time prior to taking it to Desert Autoplex for service. -Mr*** acknowledged in his response that after months "we did not complete repairs, this is true." The list of items to be repaired totaled items which could be repaired within 1-days. The check engine light alert on the dashboard was not one of the items submitted for repair. Clearly this was not an issue when it was brought in. It remains crystal clear to me that Desert Autoplex is responsible for damage that occurred to my motorhome while held in their possession for such an extended period of time. My issue remains unresolved and I remain adamant that Desert Autoplex take responsibility for their failures. The response that was submitted by Desert Autoplex is unacceptable

I have sent your complaint to the service departmentI will follwith them to see what the hold up isEven if a claim is approved it can still take several weeks to get all the parts and repairs done as all the parts come from the east coastI will make sure that someone follows up with you
I am so sorry for the lack of communicationWe are very short staffed at the moment

In response to the complaint regards the damage to the Dodge truckEvery effort has been made to accurately and fairly describe the vehicles that we sellWe try to disclose all the information known to us. Vehicles of this age will have typical scratches and dings inherent for their
yearWe do recommend to our buyers to come and do a physical inspection of what they are buying before taking deliveryThe truck was inspected by the customers transport company at our dealership with the transporter and manager signing off before leaving the dealership. The pictures that were submitted to us were taken after the truck left our dealershipSo we cannot tell if and when additional damage may have occurredWe recommend that the buyer contact the transporter and request their insurance information

Mr*** purchased his coach years agoWe have reimbursed him for repairs in We are not aware of any issues after March Should Mr*** need additional repairs we will extend him a discount towards those repairs should he bring his coach here Thank you, ***

In regards to is signing the bill of lading we did sign itIt did not show significant damage to the truckOur website has pictures of the truck and I looked them overI do not see the damage that is being claimed by the customerPlease see attached photos and ebay adIf you read page you will where we mention Buyers inspectionI have also attached the two bill of ladings from the transporterI have also attached the email the transporter sent with a couple of photos and not one of them is shows what customer is claiming to be damaged We encourage our out of state customers to come and pick up the unit that they purchase from us so that they can do a physical walk and inspection of the unit with usIf any of the claimed damage occurred it happen during transport not before it leftWe advise that the customer contact the transport company and request their insurance information

Desert Autoplex Rv had attempted to contact Mr*** on several attempts Please see attachmentUnfortunately this paperwork never made it up to the accounting office for a refundIt was left in a pile of paperwork from a Sales Manager that is no longer with the companyI will be refunding Mr
*** Money right awayI just need to confirm that we have not done that or a chargeback doneI am sorry for the confutation and wish we could have made a deal with the customer

Our sales and service department both verified at the time of sale that the customer is within the weight perimeters of their towing capacity.

That is a down right lie as when the shipping company was there to pick up the truck they had the dealer sign a bill of lading showing the damage on the truck.and they were given a copy and so was I. so if the shipping company caused the damage why did the dealer sign the bill of lading showing that the truck had damage.if there was no damage at the time of pick up. then they should not have signed it. but they did and by doing that they agreed on what the bill of lading states

We broke down in Flagstaff in May of 2015.  I was there for 3 weeks for the repairs.  I called Desert Autoplex and they said "you signed the letter" and they were not responsible.  We bought the motorhome the Friday after Thanksgiving in 2014.  It will be three years this coming Thanksgiving.  So actually we have only owned it for 2 yrs and 2 months.  We have had problems with motor home from first month on.  They did not advise us of rust problem on the undercarriage at all.  Every mechanic who has repaired this RV has stated it was due to "rust".  We would be happy to get letters from all mechanics who have worked on this vehicle.  Now we are unable to use heater and air conditioner because of the mold and electrical damage that occurred prior to our purchase.  (we have letter from last mechanic stating this). All the time we have had this coach our lives and health have been at risk.  We do not want to pay another 10 years on a RV that we cannot use. How would you like to be going through the mountains with your grandchildren and lose power and air to your RV?  Pretty scarry.  I will be happy for anyone from Revdex.com to check out the condition of this RV.  Or we can send pictures.  The last mechanic that replaced the air dryer and two back air tanks said this coach was very unsafe because the propane tank is rusted badly and the air tanks that hold the air for the unit is all rusted.  Whole undercarriage is beyond repair with rust.
