I paid cash for a bottle of hair tonic. When I was asked why I was still waiting after having paid, I said I was waiting for my receipt. I was then told they don't give receipts to cash sales because they don't have a separate printer. So I did not get a receipt. Are they not required to give me a receipt if I request one?

We apologize that the client was unable to receive their receipt. However, we have recently switched our POS system to one that is more eco friendly and only gives us the option to have the receipt sent directly to the client via email. Perhaps staff were unaware of that, but we have made sure to remind our staff that email receipts for cash and debit purchases are indeed an option. Thank you for your understanding.
