Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Lindsay was untruthful in much of her email. All the dates of correspondence I stated in my original complaint are correct. I pulled those dates from the emails and texts between Lindsay and me, and I pulled the phone call date from my list of outgoing calls. I have all emails and text between Lindsay and myself recorded and have attached them to this email in their entirety. When Lindsay said the customer has been responded to, I don't know if she meant me or my friend who also had issues with her hair, as she made it sound like we were the same person. My friend is the one whom she referred to her attorney and boss. The only response Lindsay ever sent me after I left her salon was the one response to my email when she told me to contact her when I got back in town so we could set up an appointment. The only other time Lindsay contacted me was today after she received the complaint from the Revdex.com. She sent a very angry email which I did not respond to, and which is included with the emails I have attached. Lindsay implied that I did not take care of my hair while I was in Mexico; however, I followed all directions exactly as they were given to me verbally as well as on a handout she gave me containing care and maintenance guidelines. The care included washing only 1-2 times per week, using leave in conditioner after washing or getting hair wet, using an oil in the hair, brushing 1-2 times daily, and braiding hair while swimming or when sleeping. I also purchased the products Lindsay recommended on the handout. When the hair started falling out, I was washing it in the shower, not doing anything harsh to it. Also, Lindsay told me the water in Mexico would be really clean and good for my hair and that I shouldn't have to worry about the water damaging the hair. She told me that the water in Mexico is far better on the hair than the water in California. Lindsay did not ever advise me not to go out of the country with extensions or not to swim in the ocean. Nor did she ever ask me how I treated my hair or cared for it in order for her to understand if the reason for it falling out was neglect on my part. She simply assumed I was not caring for the hair properly and implied that in her response to my complaint. When the hair started falling out, all I wanted was an appointment to get it sewn back in the right way. I am not asking for a refund or for replacement hair, and I would not have made a complaint if Lindsay had responded to me and been willing to come to some agreement about how to fix the hair. I would have even accepted her explaining to me in a professional and kind way why she felt uncomfortable doing business with me and that once the issue had been resolved with my hair that she no longer wanted me as a client. Or if she had referred me to someone else she knew could fix it, that would have been fine as well. Instead, she ignored me completely and then dropped my friend as well because my other friend and I were having issues with the hair. Very unprofessional. I didn't even get suspicious until I started hearing how horribly she treated my friends and how unreasonable she was with them in trying to resolve their issues. Then after repeated attempts to contact her in various ways with no response, I decided to file a complaint. Another claim made by Lindsay is that I was upset about her canceling an appointment a friend of mine made a month in advance. The friend she is referring to is actually a friend of a friend, and I did not refer her. In fact, I only know her name and have never had correspondence with her except to be introduced once. I am not acting in anger, though I am upset with the way Lindsay handled things. I am acting because I want others to be able to make an informed decision before giving Lindsay their business. I'm sure there are those who have loved her business and had great experiences, but there are also those of us who have been treated in a rude and unprofessional manner. I believe these experiences should be taken into account when any possible future clients make their decision. Also, Lindsay's complaint that I sent negative, unnecessary texts is untrue. I tried to be kind in all my correspondence, and the only texts I sent were regarding my hair and scheduling appointments. All my statements and claims are true. I have attached all emails and texts I have ever sent to and received from Lindsay to this complaint. There was also one time I called her and left a message. In that message I stated that I didn't know if she was busy or out of town, but that I had emailed her and texted several times and wondered if we could schedule a time to fix my hair. I told her I was back in town, told her when I would be available, asked if she had any availability in the next couple weeks, and asked how much the cost would be for either fixing the hair or moving it up. I do not have access to the actual voicemail, but I tried to be kind and positive. I am rejecting this complaint because Lindsay was unprofessional and dishonest in her service and in her response to the original complaint and because she did not offer possible compromise or apology. At this point, I don't want to do any further business with Lindsay. I will take my business and refer my friends elsewhere. I just want others to be aware of what they may be getting into before deciding to do business with Lindsay W[redacted]. I would also like Revdex.com to take note of this complaint.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

The customer has been responsed to. The dates provided were inaccurate. Her claims of "shady", "illegal", and "dishonest" are simply her retaliating due to my choice to no longer accept appointments from her or anyone associated with her. When I told a friend of hers I would not be able to schedule...

an appointment next month as a new client, I began receiving texts, emails, and finally, this complaint.  This clients claim of the hair being "synthetic" is 100% false. I previously asked for the stylists information who gave her the false advice. There was no response. I run a small business from a salon built off the side of mine and my husbands second home. The main residence we are currently renting to a friend, who I met as a client 4 years ago and have become great friends with. The service and product (Indian remy hair) I provide is 100% honest and legal. I practice strict financial organization, and have years of business tax history. I have my state business license, cosmetology license, and clear detailed information on each and every client I accept into my salon. When a client becomes difficult to work with, whether it's her personally or through those she brings with her, I believe that continuing a professional relationship is no longer acceptable. They would be better suited with another stylist.  In in this case, she chose to have have her first experience with extensions placed a week before going on a trip to Mexico. Due to her lack of care, swimming in the ocean, and overall mistreatment, a section of the extensions came loose. This is definitely known to happen with ALL types and methods of extensions, which is why they are a high maintenance service. Touch up appointments are needed occasionally, as are move-ups, depending entirely on each individual clients situation: their natural texture, home products used, how they are cared for, natural hair growth, oil production, etc.  I strongly believe this complaint to be strictly made out of anger due to me no longer accepting her or her friends as clients. In fact, it was written only hours after I told the "leader" of their group (the first client I met, who refferred this particular girl), that I felt uncomfortable having any of them in my salon. In saved, backed up texts, I have her begging to stay as a client, saying how much she loves the hair and the service, and that "this isn't fair."I have all texts, emails, voicemails, recordings from each appointment, pictures of the before/after, and client contracts from the first appointments available if needed. I have needed to block all communication from this particular "group" due to negative, unnecessary texts. Because my business has extremely limited time slots available, I only accept 1 new client weekly. As said, if this client becomes difficult to work with, it is better for her and for me that she go to a different salon. I have wonderful clients of all ages and backgrounds, most of whom I have been working with for many years. These claims are false.
