Hair Scape 2000 Reviews (1)

Aug 13, 2015Dear [redacted]:I am writing in response to the letter you sent me about a complaint on my business.* My friend's daughter contacted me and set up an appointment to get her previously colored hair that she and her mother did to her hair prior to making an appointment at my...

salon. she sent a picture of a ombre' golden blonde with 2 inches of dark roots.I in return asked her what color is her hair now so I'd know what I was going to do as far as the procedure and products nesesssary to do a color correction service. My friends daughter then sent me a picture of her recently colored hair. Asked me how much I'd charge her. Since she is my friends daughter I said $55-$65. Anyone else thats not friends or family members pay full price for color corrections which vary in price butbase price for that kind of service due to cost and amount of products and the labor time to do the service ranges from $100–$150 for a completed finished service.* When she came for her appointment, her hair on the top section from her temples to her crown area was at a level 4 (darkest Brown) and her underneath from the temples to the ear hairline and from the crown to the nape of her neck was a vibrant fushia red.As per her picture she wanted me to leave 2 inches of dark roots and 2 inches of the red roots underneath and also in the back of her hair. Her finished desired shade was a level 8 (golden blonde) with 2 inches of dark and red roots.* In order to do the procedure of the picture that she sent me on [redacted] messenger, the lightener cannot be applied to the root area, the foil sections must be placed in neat stacked rows to make the 2 inch line of demarcation that she wanted, while stripping/decolorizing her many layers of previously colored hair in the foils and waiting for them to process and lift up her previously colored hair. Color correction/decolorizing takes 4–6 hours in the salon to complete, it depends on how dark the hair is being lightened andhow many levels of lift are needed to reach desired shade of customers choice.* After many times of checking her foils to watch for lifting action, 45 minute processing there was very minimal lifting action and no decolorizing at this point (45 minutes is the maximum time limit before it can be reapplied after it is rinsed, washed, conditioned towel dried)* A second application was needed. So reapplied and processed 30 minutes. Saw some lifting but still reddish in the middle section. Rinsed, washed and conditioned her hair. She still had 2 more steps in order for her color correction service to be complete and finished.* She left in the middle of a decolorizing part of the color correction. I started her hair service after 1:00 after I finished a walk in haircut prior to her appointment. The second application was rinsed washed and conditioned at 4:30 equalling a time frame of 3 1/2 hours.* There was no breakage of her hair during her salon appointment. Her hair was washed and conditioned and my fingers ran through her hair with ease both times the decolorizer was washed off. No hair fell out and none was on the hair pick when combing her hair. Her hair health strength was good before, during and after the 2 differnt times of the application of decolorizer treatments.-note- When hair is damaged it gets slimy, limp and gummy and tears off.Her hair was none of those discriptions after decolorizer treatments when she left my salon.I am not responsible for what she or her mom did to her hair after they left the salon.** * During her first application of decolorizer in the foil sections, her Aunt showed up to pick her up. I had to explain that the color correction appointment takes longer than a haircut appointment and if she needed a ride I would give her a ride to her Aunts house once it was finished. Then during her second application of decolorizer processing time her relatives kept texting her that they were done watching her kids and when was she coming to pick them up? Then her mom showed up before she was washed and I explained that its slowly decolorizing and she's not finished and cannot leave with her hair half decolorized. Then when my friends daughter returned to the styling chair after we washed off the second round of decolorizer, she said its fine and light enough that now she won't get into trouble at work since the two toned fashion colors that she and her mom put in her hair was removed. She said she had to get her kids because her cousin and Aunt are having a fit about watching her kids while she is at the salon, that she couldnt stay and she would have her mom who is not a practicing hairstylist put something on it when she got home. As she handed me $60 she said "I know its not done and if it was anyone else I would walk out and not pay but since its you, I would never do that to you". I handed her $20 back and said to her that I wish she could stay to get her hair finished." I then asked her if she was sure she couldnt come back after getting her kids and bring them to the salon so we can finish her hair service? She said her mom has only the one car seat and her Aunt had the other car seat. My coworker/salon partner asked why they couldn't bring the kids back to the salon? And their response was "No, you don't want the kids here they will tear up your salon". I then asked her mom if she could watch the kids until her hair service was finished? She looked at her daughter and said "I worked all day and I am too tired to watch them." I offered to do it later that night, I offered to do it the next morning, I offered to do it whenever she had time to get it finished. . . She had an excuse of nobody to watch her kids, she had to work etc.She made no effort to try to make time to get her hair finished even though I offered to do it anytime she had available, she just made excuses. Then she continued to harrass me on ** by personally attacking me and tagging my name and salon in her comments of bashing and half truths of her hair appointment through out the evening into 1:30 in the morning, then continued it again the next morning and throughout the day while I was working. She made threats at me and defamation of character to me personally and my salon, so did her audience of [redacted] friends who dont even know what the whole truth is. I have text messages & [redacted] messages from her and screen shots of pictures and the ignorant posts along with threats made towards me from some of her [redacted] friends. I answered her consistantly when I had time after my work hours, I continued to explain that she leftin the middle of a decolorizing service and that her hair was not the finsished product but she just refuses to state the truth that she left in the middle of a decolorizing service and her family refused to watch her kids so she could get her hair finished. Her mom put haircolor on her hair after she left the appointment.I have no idea what products she and her mom put on it after she left my salon. Her hair was 3 shades of color when she left the salon. years, started my salon business 15 years ago and not once in all those years have I ever had a client have to leave in the middle of a color service, nor have I ever had anyone complain about their hair. This is the first time in my 27 year career that a person had to leave to pick up their kids in the middle of a decolorizing service and make up excuses I have been a professional hairstylist for 27 as to why they cannot get the service finished, then to lie about it on social media, harrass, personally defame me by using my full name on [redacted] and my salon and then threaten and demand I give her money back or she will continue to slander me and my salon on [redacted] etc.The $40 she paid only covered my expense of the products that I had to purchase to use for her appointment. Inwhich she left in the middle of a decolorizing appointment and didn't stay long enough to get the other 2 steps done so her hair appointment would be finished. "Refund Denied"If you need any more information pertaining to this situation, please let me know and I will get it to you.Thank You.Regards,Bethany S
