HAL-PE Associates Engineering Services, Inc. Reviews (1)

After reviewing the claims against the corporation, we have determined that Tom’s Ford offered options for registering the vehicle by relaying information on the legalities of vehicle registration/operation on major NJ highways to prospective customersWe advised the managing member who signed the
paperwork that the vehicle had to be registered for more than the shipping weight 5,and up to the GVWR of 14,as determined by Ford Motor CompanyThis number will vary based upon the use of the truckIt is up to the buyer to determine the weight needed to be compliant with the state laws as each company transports different items at different weightsThe Garden State Parkway (GSP) is the most heavily traveled toll road in the US and runs miles in length (from *** *** Exit *** ** *** *** ***) and only permits vehicles registered under lbs to travel North of Exit This information is relayed to the customer prior to and at time of the final execution of registration documentsBeing that the miles North of Exit *** are to most heavily travelled part of the GSP and are needed to be traversed by Commercially registered vehicles, many registrants request to be registered at that plateau being that they need these routes to get to their destinations in *** *** *** *** *** *** New Jersey commercial registrations are valid for an 11-month period of time and then have to be renewed via a registration renewal for sent to them from the State of NJ in which they validate all of the information ex(name, address, insurance information, “registration weight”) and send along with method of payment to the State of NJThis process would have been performed by the customer in question on 01/31/2016, 12/31/and subsequently on 11/30/At this time the company had to opportunity to adjust the registered weight if they felt necessary for their business needs This would have allowed for consecutive registration renewals for them to modify the registered weight, send the additional fees to the State of NJ for the increase in weight if they had chosen to do so and eliminate a major thoroughfare (Garden State Parkway) needed to arrive at their destinations, all at their discretion In regards to the warranty: There are different warranties available on what Ford Motor Company refers to as “Incomplete Vehicles” which are vehicles produced by the Manufacturer specifically designed to have body’s added at a later date1st) Ford Powertrain warranty: componentsBasic internal engine, internal transmission and drive train (least expensive and least comprehensive) 5% election rate 2nd) Ford Base Care warranty: encompasses the aforementioned “Powertrain warranty” and adds an addition components (more comprehensive and more expensive) 25% election rate 3rd) Ford Extra Care: Best so far to meet the needs of a “Commercial customer” it covers components including some power option such as windows and locks and instrument clusters (of course once again (more expensive but more comprehensive) 65% election rate (THIS IS WHAT THE CUSTOMER IN QUESTION HAS ELECTED FOR.) Total of years or 100,miles or hours of operation4th) Premium Care: referred to as “Manufacturers Bumper to Bumper “warranty which will cover Navigation Systems, Power Vista Roofs, Touch screen infotainment, Ambient Lighting, Power running boardsmost of the options not associated with an Futility (most expensive by far but of course much more comprehensive) 5% election rate To answer other questions set forth: Is this their sales tactic to keep sales up? Not a sales tactic, your company decided that it needed a truck and Tom’s Ford was able to arrange that transaction for youFrom there we asked the question of what weight the vehicle should be registered at based upon usageWe also provided options in regards to extended warrantiesWe feel that the warranty you opted for is the best choice for a commercial client based upon the components coveredPerhaps there is some miscommunication on the customers behalf as the person making these claims was not part of the transaction and was not present during the transaction In conclusion, Tom’s Ford Inc provided multiple options to the customer in question in regards to registered weight and warranty optionsIt is up to the end user to verify that the options best fit the needs of the company as Tom’s Ford has no vested interest in which registration weight the company opts to chooseUltimately, we feel that it is the responsibility of the end user to determine which weight class would best fit the company’s day to day operations
